| Rumoured and Unfinanced Projects #1: What will Orlando star in next? This thread is for discussion of all projects Orlando is rumoured to be involved in (or there are rumours that the producers want him involved), and for projects that he has signed on to, but are not guaranteed to get made. The Journey Is The Destination Orlando has signed as the lead Dan Eldon in this true story. Putting the story of Dan Eldon's life on screen is something Orlando is very passionate about. Finance is not guaranteed. Deaf Road Orlando has signed on as the lead in this true story about a deaf soldier. He will learn sign language for the role. Finance is not guaranteed. UPDATE: We have a basic plot outline - 'Based on the story of Venville's uncle and three friends-all of them profoundly deaf-who took a road trip from London to Tangiers, the film is "completely in sign language," with English subtitles.' Perfume: Story of a Murderer Producers are rumoured to want Orlando to play the lead character in the adaptation of Patrick Suskind's novel of the same name. The production will film in mid-2005. UPDATE: Although Orlando is interested in the project, Tom Tykwer (the director) believes that Orlando does not fit the character. James Bond Rumours abound that Orlando (along with many other actors under the age of 40) is may sign on for the role after Pierce Brosnan's contract is up. UPDATE: Latest rumours state that Orlando is in the running to play a young James Bond. Calvin Klein Latest rumours state that Orlando will be joining Scarlett Johansen as the face of Calvin Klein, and will appear in advertisements for the label around mid 2005. | Regarding the Mr Darcy rumour... the list hasnt been narrowed down at all yet. As far as I can tell, it would currently have every relatively good looking, age appropriate actor that can actually act on it (provided they arent already booked to film something around the time they are looking to make P&P). So its a rumour in the broadest sense of the word [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] Sean Astin did not get hired as the director of Fantastic Four, so the likelihood of Orlando Bloom playing the Human Torch is almost nil.
