I'm not sure of the schedule for the film, but this blog has it up with a detailed summary, so if you are avoiding spoilers or havent read the book, I'd advise you not to read.

The link also has a link to the script. I only read through the first pages and am convinced I'd want Orlando to play Graeme, I knew this from the book but the script confirms it. I'm sure its not the final script but if you are interested

Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem made grown men quiver in terror as baddie Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men. Now, he's been cast as a villain of a quite different (pin)stripe in Oliver Stone's sequel to his cautionary tale of 80s capitalism, Wall Street.

Deadline Hollywood reports that Bardem will play an evil hedge fund manager in the new film, which will start shooting in August for a February 2010 release date.

Michael Douglas will reprise his Academy Award-winning role as Gordon Gekko. But whereas Gekko in the 1987 original was a ruthless, rule-breaking stockbroker, he is a much-changed character in this followup. Recently released from prison, he spends much of the movie warning the authorities about the impending financial apocalypse while trying to patch up his relationship with his estranged daughter.

As previously reported, Shia LaBeouf is also on board, as a young trader who is engaged to said daughter and ends up taking advice from the reformed Gekko.

Deadline Hollywood reports that, just as with the original, the producers have employed a number of financial insiders to ensure accuracy. The site also suggests the new film will simply be titled Wall Street 2.

But I dont know how true it is, considering an august film start and pre-production green lighted if he is involved it will be announced soon. I like Oliver Stone, I like that Michael Douglas is back. I think Shia is a capable actor and Javier is awesome. What I dont like is the idea of Wall Street 2, sequel after so long. I dont know makes me iffy. But we shall see.

i don't see orli as a tycoon type of guy.

so, i doubt he'd do wallstreet 2.

but yeah, them disappearing like that can be one of those two options.
