He was very endearing in the beginning. Plus his love for Elizabeth never wavered.. though I can't say the same for her!

I can for Elizabeth, her love never wavered IMO, but Ive spent a lot of time analyzing DMC and POTC in general, probably too much

Will also has the most growth and change throughout the movies even though he remains noble. There is something so interesting about him, more than my OB obsession I really think he's underrated, Will that is.

lammy, i dont think hers 'wavered'. it's just that in DMC, she was vulnerable...and plus, jack knew how to shake her up. and being a girl who wasn't totally exposed to the world, she still had some of her naievte [sp?]. plus, if she 'wavered', she wouldn't have felt about kissing jack.

Will is definitely underrated.
I think it was Keira's real admiration for Johnny that crept into her playing Elizabeth in certain scenes.

I do think she was in over her head wanting to go toe to toe with Jack thinking he'd be completely honorable. That and the compass, Beckett and Norry confused her, but I dont think her actual feelings wavered. granted I was miffed with her with the kiss after my first viewing, but killing Jack to save the others then feeling guilty about it did take a toll on her so I cant bring myself to be too harsh toward her

what I never liked is J/E fans saying that the compass revealed "the hearts true desire" instead of what you wanted most at the time, huge distinction, throw in the letters and its a different ball game. I just think it was sloppy writing that they didn't expect to be twisted, and they said as much.

I do think so too Lammy, although I think the writers wanted for Elizabeth to play it like that, as in she really admired Jack and craved that freedom he had, but feelings wise I think they wanted it to be one-sided for Jack. Thank goodness Johnny said ugh no men, please.

Yes, I was miffed at the kiss when I first watched. Will saw it too. That miffed me more.
