A little disappointed that Johnny didn't win, but glad for Sean (he was the one I preferred, if not Johnny).

Now a serious matter ... who else saw the Oscars? Did you see that bit in the beginning where they put Billy Crystal in scenes from various nominated movies? It irked me to no end that EVERY scene Orlando would have been in, there was Billy Crystal. [img]smilies/mad.gif[/img] Sure it was funny, but come on every time it should have been Orli, it wasn't ... whether it was LOTR or Pirates. Sorry, it just bugged me that you didn't even see Orlando until the Best Actor category and the scene with Johnny. Glad the scene used had him in it ... finally.

I was also hoping Pirates would have gotten one of the tech awards it was up for, but LOTR was unstoppable. Maybe the sequel will have a better chance. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Johnny was looking very spiffy last night. [img]smilies/eek.gif[/img] I love that hair cut. Sad that he didn't win. Haven't seen Mystic River so I can't say if Sean Penn deserved that or not.

The screenwriters for POTC2 have come out and said that the subtitle for the film will not be Treasures of the Lost Abyss.

Yeah, I wasn't so sure about it being called that, in the article I read that in, they also said all this stuff about Salma Hayek playing Barbosa's sister back for revenge and all this stuff. Anyway, the storyline they described in the article didn't sound very interesting.

But Billy Crystal was Legolas, so technically he was spoofing Orlando with the hair flip and stuff. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] I think the serious matter was that Billy Crystal was butt-naked in about 95% of that sketch. Eww.
