I'm pleased, yes, that another Orlando movie thread finally got its second wind. And I agree with Am and Vali.

If it weren't for Pirates, this would be my favorite non-LOTR Orlando film.
Still waiting/hoping for this to show up at the $1 theater ... especially after a huge car repair bill. It would be just what I need ... a good, cheap film. __________________

That soon?
Did it really do that horribly at the box office? |

I wonder how long we'll have to wait for a directors cut... Scott doesnt exactly churn them out within months of the initial dvd release.

Yeah, I figured that Bel.
Val, the Gladiator directors cut is coming out five years after the original release. So...guage the KoH directors cut on that. |

It did do good on the box-office, they just expected a lot from a Ridley Scott's movie. That's it. Can't wait for the DVD. If they released the director's cut, I'd be totally grateful. But the interactive/editable DVD is okay with me. __________________

True but didnt Ridley say hes not exactly jumping on the project at the moment? Hes probably got more important things to do than DC a mediocre-ly received film.
PoTC is a great movie I agree, but its nothing but eye candy and fun for me. KoH actually presents decently profound questions, and has good moral dilemmas (more profound than..."my father was a pirate, oh god!" anyway) and hence appeals more to me. |
