| Well, Love Bites didn't upset me as much as it could because I got the series finale spoilers before it aired, so I knew everything was going to end up well. The WB even changed the promos from a love that could have lasted a lifetime won't even last the night to may not even last the night. I think the WB was in on it, because they were running those promos for a week. Come on, I totally knew Joey was lying to Pacey when she said she didn't feel it. She was all over him in the last episode. You could tell that the bad memories were coming back from two years a go. He didn't buy it, so she used the excuse Eddie was back. At the end, you can see that she doesn't look that happy being there. The next episode, she is very standoffish with him. She even called Eddie a fantasy relationship. So, I knew she was just running from her real feelings from Pacey. I also wanted to point out that yes it wasn't right what Joey did to Pacey, but they weren't exactly a couple. It wasn't like she was cheating on him, unlike a certain Chuckles on another show. Hee. how cute is this pic  Cleveland, thanks for responding. I love this episode, because it really shows that pacey and joey were there for each other and i just love how pacey got really concerned for andie, and joey just let him be there for her, and it really shows the trust and honest that pacey and joey had toward each other. | a winters tale was such a great episode. of course, my favorite scene is towards the end when they are going to make love for the first time. the surprised look on paceys face seemed so genuine, they were both ready and was good to see that joey wanted pacey just as much as he wanted her. i wish we could have seen a little more making out between them in that episode but i'll take what i can get. next barnacle: True Love | |||

Of course it didn't help I quit watching after the first couple of episodes of Season 3. lol So when I tuned in for the finale it broke my D/J heart. It wasn't until the repeats on TBS that I really saw how Amazing and Beautiful P/J are. I was going through old tapes and found that I had True Love, Coming Home on tape still. | YBB ~ The lastest word is that it is looking like the Season 3 DVDs will be coming out in July. I am sure if you pop in over on the DVD thread there will be a little more info. Pemberley21 ~ Ooh so you would like some fic recommendations. The great sites to go to for P/J fic are Capeside Diaries and Pages True Love. Here are some individual recs of my fave fics from PoTL. History Never Repeats by Kristen (katiefan1223): I happen to be lucky enough to be the beta for this one. This is a great season 7ish fic that takes place after Joey returns from Paris after going there in JP & The Capeside Redemption. I love the way each one of the characters are developed and everything between P/J is fabulous!!! Let Her Cry by Meggy (DCDiva44): Okay Meggy may be shocked by this because Dead Ends is my fave fic of hers, but I really think that LHC deserves the rec. This fic is so powerful and so well written, it is Meggy at her best, IMO. It takes place after Joey returns home from her senior prom and if you thought she was in pain in the episode Promicide, just wait til you read this! Eyes Like Twins by Nik (NikNakPJlvr): This is a great angsty fic that starts after the P/J break-up in TLD. Go read it and bug Nik for updates. She responds pretty well to stalking [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] Pulp Fiction by Lise: Now this fic isn't fluffy by any means of the imagination but I can honestly say that I never know what to expect with it and I love it. If you love not knowing what to expect from a fic then this is the one for you. Opportunites Taken by Katie (marissa111): This is one of my favorite new fics up here at PoTL. It is AU and I usually don't go for them but this is excellent, I highly recommend reading it. She takes certain history from the show and twists it to make it so much more enjoyable. Can't Get Enough by Abagail Snow: This is a great alternative version of season 3. Any fic by Abagail is great in my book! As for the next barnacle, I so love all of True Love!! One of my fave part is this dialouge between Pacey and Joey when she sees that he painted Ask Me To Stay on her wall. Pacey: What took you so long? (he grabs a 1/2 gallon jug of milk out of Joey's bag, opens it and takes a drink.) I got thirsty. I called Bessie, Bessie called you. I tell you, it is not easy work finishing things off. Joey: Pacey, what does this means? Pacey: It means you were right. That might leaving would be giving up on you and I'm not quite prepared to do that just yet. But it also means that I need to know that you're not quite prepared to give up on me either. So, all that being said, I refer to the wall. With it's hastily, yet adoringly written S.O.S. which I guess speaks for itself. I spent an hour and a half staring at this half painted wall after we talked last night. Just staring and thinking. So, the way I figured it, it's your turn to stare now. (Pacey walks off) I just love this scene so much because you can see that Pacey is really putting himself out there and he is so hoping that Joey will do the same thing. I love too that he is telling her that he will not give up on her. He is really telling her flat out with that message how much he loves her, and hopes she will say it back. | thanks cmupjer i will check out the dvd thread. also will history repeats be updated anytime soon? i did read that she was having computer problems, hope all is well with that. i love the beginning of that was then. especially when pacey looks her dead in the eye and says "like you ever need an excuse" absolutely love that scene. | Cleveland, I totally agree with what you said at the OTH thread. People complained about Joey and Pacey, but even during season 5, I got more of a vibe with them when they were just friends. They showed more affection for each other when they were going through "amnesia". I hope I didn't say anything wrong. I just found this wonderful Joey and Pacey article from the finale.
