I have a question for any and all O.C. fans that adore Seth and Summer as much as I do... I know lots of P/Jers like S/S.. Hell, lots of D/Jers like S/S, but I thought I would ask P/Jers since D/Jers probably do not want me on their thread anymore since I am a converted P/Jer...

Do you think Seth and Summer are more like Pace and Jo or Pacey and Andie? It's weird because I think all three pairings are different in lots of ways, and yet EVERY TIME I watch the wonderful Adam and Rachel go at it as Seth and Summer, I am constantly reminded of the Creek and P/J, P/A.. But, I cannot come to the conclusion as to what pairing (P/J or P/A) resembles S/S.. I obviously don't mean what history or relationship resembles S/S.. I mean banter-wise.

Yes, the O.C. is certainly helping me with my Creek withdrawl.. It's a great show. S/S are like my drug every Wednesday! They are so fun and refreshing!

Anyway, what does everyone think?

I am not really shipping tv couples as much. I just like to watch the shows, but not get too involved anymore. I think Seth and Summer are ok, but I haven't been watching OC since the beggining and I've missed an episode here and there, so I don't really know how I feel about them. Seth and Summer remind me more of Joey and Pacey than Pacey and Andie. Summer didn't like Seth for a long time. They even had some of the same phrases as Joey and Pacey that I heard somewhere because I missed some of the episodes. I like that the writers portrayed them having sex as awkward. It was very refreshing because I get tired of hearing from DJer's Joey's morning after with Pacey when it was her first time and she obviously wanted to do it again. Summer and Seth weren't exactly giddy either, but they still wanted to do it anyway. Seth said it's always been Summer. Pacey said he's always loved Joey and they've been one of the few things or only thing that made complete sense.

I totally agree about loving the ackwardness of the S/S after sex deal. I loved everything about it. I also loved how they danced slowly in his room and she told him that he was already sweeping her off of her feet. That was so sweet. I loved how they decided to take things slow and go from there. Perfect.

I also loved Pacey and Joey after they had sex. It was extremely believable and in no way in need of being ripped on as most D/Jers like to do. That was a huge moment for Joey and it was completely natural that she collect her thoughts and take some time to think about the amazing night that she had with Pacey, while also realizing that she was not a virgin anymore and just going through some of the feelings that many women do whenever they first lose their virginity. I also thought Pacey was completely a gentleman with his approach to Joey the morning after. I loathe hearing D/Jers ripping him for chomping on chips or being insecure or whatever else they pathetically decided to bring to the plate about Pacey. I loved Pacey and Joey that morning after they had sex. They handled things in a mature manner and talked through everything and it was beautiful..

Oh, and yes.. Funny how Joey ends up absolutely LOVING being intimate with Pacey after this point! She couldn't keep her hands off of him during the next few episodes! Funny how the D/Jers also have not one ounce of reasoning as to why Joey was so loving to be with Pacey intimately ALL THE TIME from then on... Hmmmm.

Next Barnacle: Boyfriend.

awww! I love Season One P/Jo interaction!

They shared a really cute scene where Pacey was totally calling Joey on liking Dawson...but still giving her sass and having her say one of my fave lines of, "I'm not one to stand in the way of True Love." Heee!

Also, this is where they go as each others' "Date" at the beach party, and Pacey rescues her from the snotty beach punk. *go Pacey!*

Next Barnacle: "Capeside Revisited"

LOVE everybody- I think Pacey said "I love you" to Joey in 3 episodes. One is in the series finale (the kitchen scene). Another is in the teaser for Promicide. And a third is in A Winter's Tale. It's when they're aguing in the cabin and Pacey says something like "it's not such a bad thing if you want to sleep with someone if you love them as much as I love you."

Capeside Revisited- I love the scene where Joey goes to see Pacey on the boat. I love their whole conversation. My favorite lines are probably when Joey says "I don't snore" and Pacey replies "I beg to differ."

Next barnacle- None of the Above

i thought joey's reaction to her first time with pacey was very realistic. her expression shows a girl worried about whether or not a guy who has had prior experience with other girls he cared about was going to think of her performance. i didn't get the indication that she was having doubts about them having sex, i think she was concerned about whether he enjoyed it or not.

i loved in none of the above where joey defends pacey after dawson punched him over the psats. and i also like the little talk p/j had after D left. when p/j are talking and p/j gives eachother this look, THAT was the moment i fell in love with p/j. i knew their lives were gonna change forever, and its when i started to see a glimpse of joey liking pacey.

Okay first of all I apologize for messing up the barnacle thing at first. I wasn't aware that we had to give another ep after listing our reasons for loving the quote etc. Sorry

As for Cleveland's question, I watch the OC and I absolutely adore Seth and Summer. They remind me so much of P/J, I haven't really thought if they remind me of P/A. They have the whole hate turns into love thing, the bantering, and the undeniable chemistry

Now for the next barnacle, I really love Home Movies. I think my favorite part has to be this end scene between the two of them when he shows her True Love for the first time.

Joey: (holds her hand up to him) Permission to come aboard.

Pacey: (helping her up) Permission granted.

Joey: Thank you. Ah.

Pacey: Now the purpose for our fore into truancy. (unwraps package from earlier - holding plaque for Joey to read) What do you say?

Joey: True Love?

Pacey: Yeah, it's my girl's name. Kind of high on the schmaltz factor, huh?

Joey: Acutely. But sweet.

Pacey: Now remember, I told you I needed your help for something.

Joey: With what?

Pacey: (handing her a sandpaper block) Start sanding.

Joey: (taking it) You are so overboard.

I love this scene because you can really start to see their friendship deepening, and I think it is meaningful that Joey is the first person that Pacey shoes True Love to. Also I love how they call back to it in the season finale.

Next barnacle: A Weekend in the Country

Yeah, I agree that Seth and Summer are a lot like Pacey and Joey. It is so fun and refreshing to watch this couple go at it. Adam and Rachel have the Josh and Katie chemistry BIG TIME. I just love the whole story of S/S. Seth likes Summer since forever and she never noticed him.. I also love that Seth has support from Ryan, which Pacey NEVER had with Dawson..

Next barnacle: A Weekend in the Country

Oh, lord, the very first time I squealed like a little girl while watching this show. Ah, the memories:

"You know you really love someone when you can sit by the fire all night and just watch them sleep."

And that last scene when Pacey did just that? That scene, with no dialogue, forever cemented my PJ love!!!!

Cleveland, thanks for responding to me. It's refreshing to find someone who doesn't hate that scene in Four Stories.

I really like the last scene in Kiss Kiss Bang because you can feel the sexual tension. I like it because you can see that Joey loves Pacey for who he is. He is trying to impress the Worthington people for her, but she doesn't understand why. She is feeling insecure because she doesn't think she is making a good impression, so she takes it out on him. I don't think she thought she was better than him. I like that he calls her on her being bitchy. Everyone has their bitchy moments.

Thanks http://www.josh-jackson.net/

four to tango is one of my all time favorite DC episodoes. my favorite part is when the dance teacher points out that joey and pacey are in the early stages of falling in love. i thought, finally, someone else sees that their is sexual tension behind all that banter and bickering. lets not forget joey's obvious jealousy of pacey and jen kissing towards the end. the look on her face is priceless.

"You bought me a wall." I love how she says he challenges in a way no one else would think of. Not to forget. "Katie's "cough" favorite moment. Even AJ was telling Joey what a great guy Pacey was. He was PJ couple fluffing.

next: Something Wild.

Okay I love this line that Pacey says at the beginning of Something Wild when he comes to the B&B.

Hey. I love this place. The Potter B&B. It seems like just yesterday I was dancing in the kitchen with Frederick Fricke.

I love it because it shows that Pacey really does remember everything, and it reminded me of a time when P/J weren't suffering from their season 5 amnesia.
