MSNBC is a big network, so Sars must be someone they consider important enough to write at their site. I haven't seen Logan's name on any site. I am not here to start a fight.

Same here.

Haven’t watched half of all the DC seasons yet, so I don’t know whether the finale sucks.

Hey, notsomuch!
You should probably mention that what you just posted was written by Sars, who most people know is a P/Jer, and it happened to be posted there.
Sorry, I didn't even read the ETA: part of the post. Yes is was written by SARS, who was a recapper for DC at MBTV, I would consider her more of a Dawson hater than a PJ'er but I would say that she preferred PJ over DJ.

I think it goes without saying that any article that is pro-PJ was written by a PJ'er, or someone who didn't like DJ together. But that doesn't discount that they were hired to write their opinion and it has been printed.

Yeah, I know. I was just wondering if what you quoted was something recent, as well, because it looked liked the same quote I had read earlier this summer.

Btw, I received my TVGuide issue today, and CoolCat typed out exactly what was written in the issue. The "Stay dead, Dawson" coomment made me chuckle, too.

Sars is definitely not a P/Jo fan. Not in the sense that you or I or anyone posting at Fan Forum would define. I read her recaps over the years, and as I remember she was a Dawson hater first and foremost. She preferred Pacey and Joey to the alternative (that being Dawson and Joey), true. But that's not the same as being a "P/Jer."

Thanks, julialex, for the info. I didn't realize that Coolcat typed the whole thing, minus the Buffy/Dawson item.

It's moments like this that I realize just how much of a newbie to the fandom I am. I have no idea who Sars is or how people gathered that was written by him/her. I checked out the article and it looks like they took several quotes from him/her for their list. I would guess whoever compiled that list just found the best and/or most amusing quotes about the 2003 tv season from people who actually watched the shows. Pretty cool that we can add MSNBC to the list of P/J supporters though.

Sars used to write hilarious recaps of Dawson's Creek on “Dawson’s Wrap,” which later became “Mighty Big TV”, and then became “Television Without Pity.” She really hated Dawson, but I couldn’t help but crack up at her brilliantly sarcastic recaps, and some of the names that she came up with for the characters were a hoot. My favorite recap of hers was the one for Admissions, where she blasted Joey for being such a bitch to Pacey and everyone else because she didn’t get a full scholarship to Worthington, and she ended her comments about Joey with the sentence “God, I *****ing hate her!” My sentiments exactly!

I’m really glad that she’s moved on to writing for MSNBC.

I didn't see the TV Guide Best/Worst of 2003 (although I DID read the original review about the finale - ), but since people are sharing them here, I figured I'd throw in that Soap Opera Digest gave D.C. "Best Finale" in their Best/Worst issue from 2 weeks ago. They talk about how good it was to see the characters 5 years later and tying up loose ends, but they SPECIFICALLY said that none of that wouldn't have mattered had Joey not chose Pacey.

Edited to add that I felt the Buffy finale was anti-climatic and extremely disappointing. I mean, HELLO, Anya DIED and there was barely a sad expression from the man had claimed to love her. UGH. Not to mention that it was just dumb. The ONLY good part, IMO, was the Buffy/Angel kiss and the follow-up dough conversation.

Yeah, that was perfect. Kim started a topic about that a week or so ago, just to celebrate some more. Hee!

This is what the TV Guide said exactly (I have it in front of me but my scanner does not work)

Best Finale: Buffy the Vampire Slayer - We absolutly hate it when we're caught in an ubervamp bloodbath and our entire town disappears into a gaping Hellmouth. But when it happens on TV, it's fun!

Worst Finale: Dawson's Creek - Creek ran dry long before its final schmaltzfest. Keep repeating: No reunions.

And the picture is a small cast picture of DC..I thinking Season 5 but not too sure, and then the picture of the Buffy cast at the end of it's finale and Buffy is saying "Stay dead, Dawson."

If my scanner works later, I will try to scan it.

I feel from that they were just sick of the show in general.
