The best part of PJo was their buildup to me in a lot of ways.
I think usually buildup is the best part of most ships. I like there was unintentional in Season 1 even though KW said he thought of going their eventually. It will always bug me PJo didn't have scenes hardly Season 2. I know you can argue they were in diff. SL but that was the same Season 1 too. I will always wonder if this had to do with their RL breakup. It still amazes me how much Pandie went through in just one season. So much could have been spread across other seasons. It's good they weren't of course. Most couples aren't strong enough to get through less than half the stuff they did. It's why the breakup to me didn't fit b/c you would think they could get through that somehow too. __________________

I agree that it would have been nice to have more Pacey, Andie, Joey scenes in S2, but then Pacey and Andie were so great, they really didn't need anyone else to help their story along. However, it would have been nice to more group activities so to speak, especially since Jen and Jack's relationship started to show some promise.

I wish we got to see Pandie's first time.

I liked Andie and Joey's friendship, when she came back she was happy to see her.

I found my safe haven. I love both of these ships a LOT....more 'lots' then I can muster.
Why I love Pandie: Pacey's relationship with Andie turned him from a sidekick character in S1 to the most compelling character on the show. Andie brought out the absolute best in Pacey and by the end of the season our hearts were breaking for him after the lengths he went to in order to save Andie and be the hero in her life. He'd stop at nothing for her, and this was a Pacey we all grew to love in S2. He became a fan fave, and we largely have Pandie to thank for that. Why I love PJ: two reasons really – their story arc and their chemistry. I absolutely love how they started out and what they grew to become. But beyond that is just the simple undeniable chemistry the two of them had. I don't know if it's because they dated in real life or what but every time they bantered or kissed or simply shared a sweet moment, my heart was all aflutter. Case in point: castaways. TV gold from start to finish. |

Pacey's character grew in S2 quite a bit and it showcased what a good heart he had regardless of his upbringing. We did see a little bit of that in S1, but not to the extent it was in S2. I watched DC almost 10 years after it ended, so I actually wasn't even aware until I came on that Josh and Katie had even dated. I watched their chemistry without any idea that there was a personal connection, but it was still obvious about how much chemistry they had. I was totally on board with DJo until I started to see Pacey and Joey in S3. Even though I found Pacey to be quite romantic in S2 with Andie, by S3 that romantic side of him went to a whole new level. __________________

I loved Pacey/Andie. I liked season 3 the start of Pacey/Joey.

I didn't love Andie and Pacey, but I do appreciate what the relationship did for the character of Pacey. It helped him grow outside the sidekick role. I don't think Pacey and Joey would've been the same if Pacey didn't have the relationship with Andie.

You are right on about Pacey's relationship with Andie having an impact on the Pacey/Joey relationship.

I am more of a P/Jo fan, but I do appreciate moments of P/A as well.
