The only reason KW had Joey being cut off is because he wanted to keep the "suspense" going to the end...so we're like "Oh come on, did she choose him or not?" I think i heard that he wrote it with her telling him in that scene, but thought it better to wait till the end.

I wish we had gotten more of PJ in the end scene, like seeing them more couply-or maybe just showing us Joey going to Pacey and telling him she chooses him. But at least we get something in the end and at least she did choose Pacey. Like Katie Holmes said, you can't satisfy everyone.

But luckily us PJers who are satisfied

We should all just be happy they were the endgame. I know i am

Definitely stick to Pacey/Joey talk in here guys

Agreed, I think they cut off her speech because it was more "suspenseful" for the fans - as to see whom she end up with. But as Ada said, the moment Pacey saw Joey walk in and that hug and their looks - I thought it was a 100% clear. And then the entire episode just continued and it became even more clear. By her "running" speech I thought, even though I knew beforehand, that it was pretty positive.

But God, do I love that speech

Pacey: You're off the hook.

Joey: What?

Pacey: You're off the hook. I've never really put much faith in all that "if you love someone, set them free" crap, as evidenced by everything I've done in my life up to this very moment, but I am determined to be happy, Joey. Happy in this life. And I love you. I mean, I always-- I have always, always loved you. But our timing has just never been right. And the way I figure it, time is no man's friend. So I have to get right with that and be happy, now. Because this is it. I mean, this is all that we get. If there's one thing I've learned from losing Jen, that's what I've learned.

Joey: Pacey, I—

Pacey: Actually, um, hold on. I'm not done yet. Because I also want for you to be happy. It's really important for me that you be happy. So I want you to be with someone, whether it be Dawson or New York guy or some man that you haven't even met yet. But I want you to be with someone who can be a part of the life that you want for yourself. I want you to be with someone who makes you feel like I feel when I'm with you. So, I guess the point to this long run-on sentence that's been the last 10 years of our lives is just that the simple act of being in love with you is enough for me. So you're off the hook.

Joey: You know, for the record, I-- [Sniffles] I don't want to be let off the hook. Because everything in my life that I've done has led me here... right now, and the last thing I want, need, or deserve is to be let off somebody's hook.

Pacey: Please don't miss my point here 'cause—

Joey: And don't miss mine. Pacey... I love you. You know that. And it's very real. It's so real that it's kept me moving, mostly running from it, never ready for it. And I love Dawson. He's my soul mate. He's tied to my childhood, and it's a love that is pure and eternally innocent. I can't be let off the hook because I might just get the notion that it's ok to keep running.

Pacey: So then, what exactly are you saying here?

I thought it was subtley implied when the Colby character is talking to Sam about her subconscious feelings for their friend Petey and she's in denial. Colby says that's what he's afraid of. It goes back to Four to tango when Dawson asks Joey if her and Pacey are just friends and she is nodding her head, but then later she's all jealous of PJen. Also, I think when Dawson starts talking about him and Joey and she says they on his tv show every week which is a way of saying she's not interested in him anymore. When PJ are in the kitchen, Joey says "are you putting us down", like they are still part of each other. There are those intense looks

i think that pacey conversation with jen was what make me realize they were going to end up together.
We have hints all over the episode, like the hug at he beggining, their kiss while dancing, but when jen asked pacey if he is planning to steal his best friend girlfriend again and pacey replied that he hope this time is different, get me the final certancy i needed.
Anyhow i was eating my nails thourout the hole episode... until the couch scene. I remmember my happiness and jumping from the couch!

I love some of those lines. When Jen says she sees a Joey Potter zone when she sees one. And the desperate, passionate way she asks Pacey if there are still sparks. I think she always rooted for Pacey especially and P/J as a couple. It was just such a nice moment between two people who were so much alike.

I definitely agree that Jen always saw something with Pacey/Joey, and sort of rooted for them. I think it's because she knew what it was like not be truly appreciated, just like Pacey did with his family and his general life, and she saw how much he loved her. They always related to one another.

I totally forgot when Jen says that to Pacey. There was a lot of subtle things in the finale. When Joey goes to the restaurant and says she was walking around in a fog and it led her to him. That could even be a metaphor for how things were unclear until she went to see him

Jen was their number one fan. I loved how she was always there for Pacey to talk about his feelings for Joey and even there for Joey too.

Ha, me too! I was a nervous wreck, I wasn't going to believe PJ were endgame until I saw them on that couch lol.

jen rooting for pacey&joey in the series finale is amazing, i really think at that point she was the voice of reason but also the most perceptive regarding love and passion so having her on their side was just a bonus

I love Jen. She was always the voice of reason and maybe Jen knew Joey was going to pick Pacey-like it was obvious-so she said she was making it her dying wish.

And Jen and Joey weren't friends when Jen came between Joey and Dawson and that was when Joey treated Jen badly-when Dawson was her world, but Joey and Jen somehow became friends sometime during season 3 when Joey was distancing herself from Dawson and falling more in love with Pacey.

something interesting is Joey and Jen made a truce in that episode with the episode when the girls were hanging out at Dawson's house. Joey and Jen did not fight the rest of the season. They were fine until Joey sees Jen kissing Pacey in FTT and then the insults started again. Joey was fine with Jen until she started macking on her man LOL

Yea, P/J were so meant to be. Pacey went with Jen at one time and well Joey didn't like it. They were meant to be with one another in the end

And I love Jen for realizing what was really happening between PJ...

Jen: I'm not talking about us.

Pacey: What, Joey? This has nothing to do with Joey!

Jen: Pacey, I saw the way that you overreacted to Dawson. I saw the way that Joey overreacted to us. I know that you're having trouble in math these days, but it doesn't take Einstein to get the sum total of these two overreactions.

Pacey: You're gonna have to explain this one to me because I gotta be missing something here. You're talking about Joey Potter, right? The one who can't walk into the same room with me without gagging, huh? That Joey Potter? There's nothing going on between us.

Jen: No, Pacey. There's nothing between us. No matter what we do, it's not gonna work out between us.
