It is incredibly sexy and sweet. He was so tender with her. His speech about sex with Anna or whatever her name was, was just perfection. I'm so glad Joey overheard it. but yeah, him brushing her hair was a beautiful moment.

Thing that is so profound about the s7 series final. Is when Pacey says "But I want you to be with someone who can be a part of the life that you want for yourself".

I truly believed Dawson loved Joey. But not in a way that was unconditional. Pacey was willing to sacrifice himself. As long as Joey was TRULEY happy. Its funny as I always remember In s2 when D and J become Romantic. Its never truly enough for Joey just to be with Dawson. She was running away from her true self. Dawson never understood that. But here we are Pacey willing to let her off the hook. It was the moment Joey stopped running. And embraced her true love.

I love what he said to her too and that Joey overheard it. Just one of the many things showing how much Pacey loved Joey and that he is the one. I also agree that Pacey always being selfless and willing to sacrifice himself for Joey's happiness was another thing showing he truly loved her. Dawson always just thought of himself and just wanted to win Joey like she's a horse he bet on in a race.

He was selfless when it came to her. Look at the difference between him and Dawson at Anti-prom. Pacey sat in silence and watched from afar, while Dawson nitpicked and made snarky remarks all night, then had a full on meltdown at the end. Pacey at the end, walked Andie home and had a honest conversation about his feelings for Joey. in The Longest Day, Dawson, forces an ultimatum on her right away, while Pacey let her go, while he cried on the docks. Then in Show Me Love, while Dawson was trying to kill people and still put pressure on Joey, Pacey comes up to her at the end and asked if she could ever love him like a soulmate. The minute she looked uncomfortable, he backed completely off and told her there are no ultimatums here. No screaming, no shouting, no ultimatums, no forcing her to choose, no guilt tripping, just Pacey loving Joey and respecting her decisions. He will always be the better boyfriend, period.

Probably brought up. But how good would a Jacey Spinoff be? Living in their apartment with their kids. Be really interested in that concept.

Exactly, all this! When you line up Pacey and Dawson's resume, it's easy to just say "Screw Dawson" and go for Pacey. No damn comparison.

Exactly. Dawson was trying to hold her back and Pacey was willing to set her free. Complete night and day between the characters. I also believe a huge part of their break up, was because Pacey felt her was holding her back. She told him she didn't want to leave, she wanted to stay and be with him. He knew she was serious about her feelings and he saw that. I think subconsciously he didn't want to feel like he was holding her back and he set her free then. It just came out way harsh, but I imagine that wasn't easy, trying to move on from a relationship he fought so hard for. I don't think he broke up with her to be malicious or because he didn't love her or care. I think the pressure just got to him and you could see the instant regret on his face when Joey came to see him and in the middle of her talking, he said he missed her. You could tell it killed him because of what happened. If that had been Dawson, he would have let Joey go on thinking it was all her fault that they broke up, as some sort of punishment to keep hurting her. Pacey didn't. He took all the blame when everything calmed down.
