I wasent bothered at Joey defending Dawson, or being in denial. Dawson was her longest friend. I often felt she was a rock in a hard place, between the two. But that was just my view point.

^^^ I was never upset Joey cared about Dawson's feelings and hurting him. She would have to be cold hearted not to care about his feelings. He however, could have cared less about her hurt, her pain, her feelings and how torn up she was over her feelings for Pacey and her friendship with Dawson. He was too consumed with his own anger, to see Pacey and Joey were hurting just as much. That's why I always say the only time I felt he was unselfish was when he told her to go in True Love. He still tried to manipulate her by saying it was gonna blow up in her face, but he still pushed her to go. It didn't last long, because he was back to being selfish the second they got back home from sailing.

Loving all this discussion. I have to admit thought, that I fell asleep while reading stuff last night, so had to get caught up on the rest tonight and now it's close to 2:00 am and I have to work in the morning, so can't give my 2 cents worth just yet.

I agree that Pacey and Joey were friends first as well, and knew each other just as long. Same with Dawson not giving a damn about how they felt, just himself as usual. That happened the whole series, he only cared about himself and to hell with everyone else. I already said it but I think Dawson was always jealous of Pacey and Joey falling in love with him just made him lose it completely.
