There was one reference in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You There are probably many more....DC became a part of pop culture just like Buffy, Beverly Hills 90210, Friends, etc. I don't think many shows do now even if they're popular, at least not like back then, imo. There are so many channels and shows. __________________

One Tree Hill definately referenced Dawson's Creek a few times, I can think of a few at the top of my head. Also I love that there were a few guest stars on Dawson's Creek that ended up being on One Tree Hill.

The only recent references I recall that have shown up in a lot of shows and movies are references to Twilight and references to Justin Bieber. It became a fun game to try and recall all of the times Justin was mentioned in shows/movies and it's a lot (or was). Sorry, this got us a little OT. Back to PJo. I was watching DC last night and Stolen Kisses was one of the episodes. Guess which spots I rewound and watched again a couple times? __________________

Before I did any rewatches, that was the only episode I clearly remembered from S1.. I'd thought it was the beginning of a triangle. In a way it kind of was, but we had to wait awhile for it to continue.

I love this scene from The Graduates. It kind of left the door open for a PJo reunion in the future: Pacey: "If I'm lucky enough to find myself owning a sailboat again one day and I asked the woman I love to come with me, would she?" Joey: "You wouldn't have to ask, Pace." ......................... I found it a bit unrealistic how quickly Pacey and Joey moved on in season 5. Intentional or not, it all worked out for PJo in the end, but I remember it was a bit frustrating for me watching season 5 when it originally aired. It kind of felt like the writers were discarding all the PJo stuff from seasons 3 and 4. I was reading an old DJo thread the other day and even a DJer admitted that Joey was in love with Pacey and that Joey would never have been so okay about Pacey/Audrey. |
