Just a side note...how many ways are there for a person to take their toast?

I just think that was a weird thing for them to write in. The coffee, I get. The toast, not so much.

I am in love with AFD. It is my fave S5 episode and probably on of my top 10 fave DC ever. I love when Jack told Pacey he could tell that Jen and Dawson "did it" because he saw it in Jen. "The look," as he called it.

I think what was great about that whole season is that there was actual conflict and eventual resolution. The show was all about lose ends and unexplored avenues with all the other pairings. For Jen and Jack to have conflict in their relationship but also to know it was too important for them just to play it by ear or leave it as it was, was typical of them but rare in the show. I think it somehow enhanced that genuine feel of Jack and Jen and really reinforced the importance of them in the spectrum of Dawson's Creek.

I mean, I love them. No doubt. If they had ever broke completely, which they wouldn't have because they weren't capable, I would have been really upset by it. Still, I liked that they lost their way but, in the end, came back to each other. Besides, Jackers needed a swift kick and Jen was just the girl to do it.

It's a great episode

Season 5 was actually good for them cause college can be a disturbing experience, you can change a lot in little time ; but I love that they found their way back to each other.

Very true. Their fall out was realistic especially considering they had just started college.

But of course they found their way back to each other... they are Jack and Jen after all. The soulmates of the Creek.
