Agreed Plus, it was completely over-exaggerated. Natasha wasn't even committed to him, they were having casual sex. The fact that she turned up in the show just to cheat on Dawson again was completely stupid. What I hated most is HOW the writers broke up Dawson and Joey in 6x02. It was over-dramatized and they started arguing about things that had happened YEARS ago. It all seemed like a huge effort by the writers to depict them as having an unhealthy, immature relationship - which made a mockery of Season 5 and Dawson's determination to be with Joey after Mitch died. __________________

Season 3 is currently airing. I really like the necklace episode when dawson gave it to joey. I love how they are always featured in the credits every season. DJ was the reason I got into the show and as below mentioned, at least season 4 gave us good times with them again. Welcome Paradise. These two went through the most on the show.

^ Aww yeah, that episode had a lot of cute moments! I also liked their dance in the Prom episode. The way they smiled at each other there was so sweet.
Watched "Alternative Lifestyles" last night. I really liked the DJo scene at the beginning with Mitch. It was funny that Joey was hiding in the closet the whole time and Dawson told her he'd see her in a few minutes when Mitch came back. Too bad they didn't get more scenes like that, it was so fun and lighthearted. I also liked the scene on the porch when they talked about his parents and her working with the business lady. It was nice to see him support her potential dreams. The scene in the cafe would've been cuter if we had heard their discussion when Jen/Abby were staring at them. The scene at the end was also nice, they shared a sweet kiss. Overall a slow episode but it set up the next few episodes. __________________

3.10 and 3.11 were on. I love DJ in season 3. I love how Joey will climb into dawsons window as if nothing changed.

The S4 Prom episode finally brought back the hope of Dawson and Joey as a romantic couple, which felt like a huge relief. James and Katie looked so happy to be back together that way again. Quote:
I'm happy you mentioned that episode; Mitch was hilarious and was not fooled at all, knowing that Joey would climb back into Dawson's room. I always felt as if Mitch was the number one supporter of Dawson and Joey as a couple and I remember him supporting Dawson when he wanted to do the boat race against Pacey in Season 3. Plus, Season 5 was so symbolic about Mitch's death re-igniting Dawson's determination to be with Joey for good. __________________

I agree that the scene with Joey hiding in Dawson's closet and then them making out after they though Mitch was gone. I loved that whole opening scene, it was very playful.

^ Yeah I liked Drue and he proved in Promicide that he wasn't the irresponsible moron that people initially thought he was. He made sure that no harm came to Jen. They would have made a cute couple, so I don't get why they didn't bring him back.

I miss the early times of Dawson's Creek where Mitch and Dawson always had the father/son bonding, and Mitch was rooting for DJo as a couple. Loved it in Season 4 when Mitch told Dawson "it ain't over, till it's over." __________________

^ Aww yeah. And it was nice how in "Tamara's Return" Mitch helped Dawson realize that Joey wasn't just upset about the art thing.
Speaking of that episode, it was hard to watch Joey push Dawson away every time he tried support her new interest in art. It was leading to their breakup but still sad. I agreed with Dawson about the abstract art but I appreciated the metaphor behind it. Joey was like an undefined blob of paint, someone who wasn't sure where she was going or what she wanted outside Dawson. I think that once she got into a relationship with Dawson, her feelings for him deepened and threatened to overwhelm her so she ran away. Which she pretty much told him at the end of this episode. "Part of me wanted to push you away and part of me wanted to hold onto you, so tight." "Which part of you won?" "I don't want to sound like a blob of paint but can we just put that on hold for right now?" This is honestly the only DJo breakup that made sense to me. She was gearing up to run a few episodes before she actually did. She was so scared of how much she felt. They were so young and those feelings had to be pretty intense for her at that age. It's funny how much Joey criticized Dawson for being a romantic/dreamer but he was the one who was more prepared for their connection. __________________

You are right this breakup made some sense though. I hate how she went to Jack only hurting Dawson more in the process. I still think they could have given us at least half a season before breaking them up. Pandie saved this season for me honestly. __________________
