I think she did love him and I think she was just so upset because she never told him and she let him slip away and thus in turn was slipping away herself.

I don't think it was a strong love though like in S5 though.

I think there was a late realisation, the kind when you've lost the person to someone else, and it hits you then that you still want them. So, I believed she loved him still,

but she was a mess, she had to focus on herself, sort herself out, jumping into a relationship wasnt the right thing for her then, so I was happy that she moved on, and even happier that Dawson was there to help her.

I think you all are right. In S2 Jen was kind of out of it but the more I think about it, I don't think she would say that about Dawson and not mean it. At least on some level.
