Does the J in Pacey's name stand for John, his dad's name, do we think?
He makes out its something embarassing, I would think it being his dad's would be embarassing for him. But it could be something equally ridiculous as Pacey, the old Homer Jay Simpson, Jeremiah, Jacey, Jesus...who knows! |

I was always under the assumption that it did stand for John, his father's name and that's how I choose to think of it. It seems to fit nicely too.

I went to Wikipedia to see if I could find any info on Pacey and just had to post this about his Popularity.
Popularity Pacey was originally planned to be portrayed as Dawson's funny best friend who was just there to make a joke. However he soon became very popular with the media, causing the writers to give him a more prominent role in the series. It was eventually decided that Pacey would end up with Joey, due to the on-screen chemistry and fan devotion that culminated around the two, although Kevin Williamson had originally intended for Dawson to end up with Joey. He also outgrew some of his lethargic, clownish ways; becoming more mature. ******************************************* Bringing this over from the Joshua Jackson Board  Quote:
