I posted the following on another forum, but it really applies here also

End of season four Pacey was an emotional wreck and failing school.

Question; why did Pacey pull himself together at the end of season four to graduate?

Was it to impress Joey? No.

Was it to impress his friends and family? No.

Did he do it for himself? Yes.

Who gave Pacey the courage and means to believe in himself?

Who was the only person Pacey told he graduated?

Who was the only person he cared that knew he graduated?

Who did he acknowledge his debt to after he graduated?

Who was the only person he told his future plans to?

Who was the only person he picked up and spun around?

Simple questions and the answer should tell you how the show should have ended.

exactly Tony. she believed in him like no one else did, he had more self confidence and she picked him up and made him want to be better. I wish they were endgame and will find their way back someday. they're still forever my otp and one of my favorite couples on TV.

Fantastic Pacey and Andie scene. Meredith Monroe was brought back at the end of season four just to film these scenes in case the show ended. One can easily see that Andie is the most important person in Pacey's life. I also think this is when Pacey truly forgave Andie.

And also the moment where Pacey fell back in love with Andie. I swear, the look in his eyes when she reenters his orbit is the happiest we see Pacey all season. No one in the world made him smile quite like Andie McPhee.

I think a part of him always still loved Andie. But I agree, I think at this point, he was finally able to forgive her for what she did.

He never looked at Joey the way he looked at Andie. And another thing there is no way I can imagine a situation where he would have yelled at Andie the way he yelled at Joey during Promicide.

To me the show ends here and Andie goes to Miami with him.
