He was not convicted as one. My opinion on this? The guy didn't have a childhood and in a way he was still a child in his head so him hanging out with kids that much doesn't seem weird if you think about it. For him they were friends, not potential sex partners.

There are many people who relate to children better than they do to adults. Some adults feel threatened by the complexities of the "real world," and by the "adults" who inhabit it.

I live in a country where a person retains the right to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. He was never proven guilty, therefore I choose not to speculate as to the true nature of his innocence or guilt. It really is of no importance now anyways.

So...has anyone heard of the Fever series? Everyone keeps telling me to read it but I'm wary. The last time I got into something "big" like that, I ended up in the world of Twilight and we all know how that's turned out.

Not that I have time to read right now anyway but school is over in like a month (

) and I'll have 4 weeks of glorious freedom.

I just think it’s weird/suspicious that he paid of some of those parents. If he was really innocent then why pay them off? As for being found innocent, lots of celebrities get off in court; he's Michael Freaking Jackson what jury would have wanted to find him guilty. This is the same judicial system that found OJ Simpson innocent; I don't have much trust in it sometimes.

Maybe nothing did go on with the kids. He was his father's cash cow since he was five years old; he never got a childhood so he had kids around him and built himself a theme park so he can have some kind of childhood memory. But you know what when there are so many stories about the guy for over what 3 decades it does make you wonder. I'm sorry but when there’s smoke there’s is fire.

Yeah...soo....I saw a preview for the new movie Shutter Island with Leonardo Decaprio and it looks really interesting. I was going to read the book last summer but I never got a chance, but I'm thinking about reading it now.

I've never heard of the Fever Series, what is it about. If it’s interesting I might read it.

I actually think it's the opposite, if my kids were molested I would have wanted a real trial and I would have wanted him to go to prison. You never settle in those cases, it's too important. And I don't belive in that expression sorry, sometimes when there's smoke, there's no fire. And there were only two cases, people often make it seems like there were so many complains

I never believed in those stories, I think people were just trying to make money off him. And being a public figure made every little flaw of his, or just something people didnt understand, look like a crime.

Yes, he was weird, he was eccentric, but he wasnt a pedophile.

And Fever is a rage these days. I have many telling me to read it too. Im not cavng in this time.

Thanks hun, I love the man. Been a fan for so long. And I hate it that this is what people are still talking about, even after he's gone. I mean some are so evil to say stuff like, "he deserved to die".

How can anyone be so cruel?

I believe that you're innocent until proven guilty (it's how our system works actually). A few years ago, some people from a town were accused of pedophilia by a bunch of kids, everyone was horrified, they went to prison, lost their kids, one of them killed himself...turns out, the kids lied. Many lives were ruined because even if they weren't proven guilty yet, people were saying "where there's smoke there's fire", which can be dangerous. (it's the Outreau case, i'm not sure if anything has been written in english on it).

I've seen the trailer as well and I am actually really looking forward to seeing it. I read the book a few months ago and it was good. The "twist" isn't terribly hard to figure out but still, it's an intriguing story.

I have no idea what Fever is about either. All I know is it was recommended to me by Twilight fans.

That makes me a little wary of it.

Thats terrible.

Its easy to accuse someone, but the consequesnces can be so grave and even tragic. I dont believe in that saying too. Its not always true.

I just happened to go to the library yesterday and I looked it up to see if it was interesting enough and it was okay, well to me anyways, its about this girl who's sister died and she is trying to find her killer and she ends up finding out stuff about an ancient group and she ends up having some kind of magical powers.

But OMG I saw a book cover of her other series called Highlander and you should see the cover

it has some big muscling guy with long hair and has on this tarzan looking thing and there's a black horse in the background, I died laughing
