That's what happened with Twilight. A lot of people thought the movie was so horrible and were disappointed after months of teasers and what have you that there was a huge backlash in the fan base. So now they have to really sell New Moon....hard....because they cannot afford to mess it up.

Too, they are releasing this stuff early to appease the ridiculous fanbase that exists within the realm of Twilight. Think of how the Dawson/Joey and the Pacey/Joey factions use to be in the glory days of Dawson's Creek and multiply that by a million. That is what the Twilight fans are like. They complain and they whine and they bash the characters and each other. I actually read a review of the NM book cover on Entertainment Weekly's site yesterday that said "Edward is an abusive vampire," all because someone said they didn't like the book cover

That really makes me angry because they call Edward an "abuser" and Jacob a "rapist" and it's like...do people really understand the implications of these words and what they really mean? They're not just names you call book characters that you don't like.

Honestly, I've found very few people in the fandom that I can do more than tolerate. And they're not always very accepting of people who are neutral about the ships. Personally, I prefer Edward and Bella, but I don't mind Jacob/Bella either. It's like here. I am ultimately PJo but I like the DJo girls and I think that DJo have their points. I don't have to like something to talk about it. I just like having intelligent conversations about fandom...which is something that Twilight seems to lack as well.

I like both E/B and J/B but I had to leave the E/B community on LJ because I couldn't stand them anymore, they can't handle a mature conversation.

I love talking about shows and all ships, but some fans are so focused on ships and ship wars that they make it impossible.

I find that I have better conversations with the J/B girls these days, and someone actually told me that because I talk to them that I have convert from an E/B fan to a J/B fan. I just ignored it because, really, who cares? It's suppose to be fun. I mean, I love fandom but I don't take it seriously.

I don't mind squeeing. I just mind bashing and there is a ton of it going on over on the Twilight boards. And I just feel like people get reprimanded for the wrong things (like going off topic a little but not saying anything harmful) but not for bashing.

It's exhausting.

I've been on the J/B community on LJ a couple of times and it's definately better than L_L. Even I can't read some of that stuff.

And, seriuosly, if I have one more person try to shove the whole Rob Pattinson/Kristen Stewart thing down my throat, I may just hit someone.

Cause I find the guy she was dating before much cuter then RP.

I watched Transformers tonight and I was a bit peeved. I had a family sit next to me with kids and the little boy sat right next to me and throught out the whole freaken movie he kept say "grandma is that a transformer" or "grandma why is he doing that what happend." grandma grandma grandma granaadddmmma

I'm sorry but if the kid is to stupid to realise what is going on in the movie, then dont bring his ass in (sorry that was rude.) I kept looking over at the grandmother and she knew he was distruping people around and yet she kept on watching the moving and talking to him throughtout the movie like they were in the own damn living room. And then you can hear little kids crying cause they are scared of the transformers. Why the F>>> do people take kids to a movie where they know there will be loud explostions and possible scary looking monsters that will scare the kids and make them cry? I want to take these parents and grandparents and shoot them in the head, if you want to watch a movie like this get a babysitter or wait till it comes out on DVD. The movie was great though

Speaking of movies, I just saw the new pixar flick, Up and is quite awesome! I highly recommend it to anyone.

That's sad, especially considering she fought so hard.

I was never really a fan but I saw parts of that documentary they did and this has to be absolutely devastating for her family and friends who stood beside her through this whole battle. I feel badly for her son. I know if something happened to one of my parents and I missed it because I was in prison or jail, I would probably never forgive myself.

Cancer sucks. Period.

I saw Farrah's Story and it was really sad, but what a strong person to let herself be taped while going through something so personal. Hopefully her video educated people somehow and it wasnt done all in vain.

My mom and I were watching the news and they said he died. But I think only TMZ is reporting he's dead...
