Applying for a Librarian I position in San Antonio, since Tejas has been my dream for awhile. I'll never in a million years get it, though, and it would break my mother's heart if I did. Ah, finding another library job is so much fun.

Working on my job search as well. I'm trying to find a job as a Payroll Clerk. So far I've:
Registered on Monster, Spherion and with Job Placement at the College E-mailed resume to 5+ people I had business cards from Been checking the news and observer online and Craigslist Registered for seminars over the Summer to learn about effective job searching I've just gotta keep it up. |

I just updated my resume and sent it out for the job.
 I am trying not to think about it because the more I do, the more I want this job. I mean, the only qualification they listed that I don't have is the special Texas state driver's license. And I can get that. It's just a matter of the # of applicants and their experience. That's pretty much the only thing working against me presently. My library experience.__________________

The thing that intimidates me is the constant thought that someone else could be working harder than me. It's a motivator and a demotivator at the same time.

 I don't worry about anyone working harder, so much. It's just the potential employers not being able to see past the "experience" column. I know it's important, but I also know I'm really good at what I do and I'm really dedicated to being the more than just competent at my job. I love it, therefore I want to be great. I don't think that translates through a resume though.__________________

Just imagine living in France where diploma is everything
 I can be the most awesome at a job, if a girl with a diploma from one of our "grandes écoles" comes in, she's gonna get the job. Some companies are not like that, but there are all american companies so it's not really a surprise__________________

Stupid world
 So one of my neighbours keeps running the stairs, it's a bit annoying cause it's kinda 4 am here I'm up so I don't really care (ok I'm freaking out) but my poor other neighbours__________________

Anxiety is hard to deal with sometimes. I guess the point is you get up, and you go, no matter how badly you don't want to. That counts for something.
