You kinda feel helpless in that situation. I was 13 and we were living far away, we didn't see it coming at all. It's also the first time I saw my father cry so it's a very weird and bad memory for me.

A woman in on trial right now for killing 3 of her babies, I think that she deserves prison and treatment cause she's obviously kinda crazy. Some people though are saying that legal abortion should be considered murder too. It drives me crazy

I'm pro choice even if I don't think that it should be the only and the first solution cause it has to be traumatic, but to see people still comparing it to murder makes me sad.

Anyway, happier thoughts

I really do not what the anti-abortion constituency is trying to prove anymore. At least in this country. I don't know about how they are in France, but here the pro-lifers are "the right" who also want us to teach abstinence only education in schools. Basically, they don't want anyone having sex period. Well, unless you're married. If I were a radical feminist thinker, I would probably say they really just do not want women to be having sex because mean can have sex without the consequence of a possible abortion. That all, to me, is a violation of my privacy.

Honestly, here, I feel like abortion is all about control. Who has the power and I think largely it is the stuffy old men, holding onto their 1950s ideals about what should and should not be. That is fine for them, and the women who want to be their subservients, but I don't want to be any man's property. I also don't want anyone to have any right to make decisions about my body.

I think that in some cases abortion can be the only solution and it's good that it's a legal option now. Cause let's face it, women were still doing it when it wasn't and many of them died because of it. Plus I don't see how you can say to a girl who just been raped "well love your child now he's a gift from God". Sure abortion should be the last resort, education, birth control...should be the first ones. But to compare abortion to murder is just grrrr.

The woman who made the law pass here is called Simone Veil, she's a holocaust survivor and some of the things people told her back then are just aweful. People were comparing abortion to what happened to the jews during WWII and this is not something you say to a holocaust survivor.

Ughhh, that infuriates me. And those idiots who think students should be taught about abstinence and not about condoms and BCP...

I'm pretty sure that people who are told about sex end up having sex later in their lives. I know that knowing all about it didn't make me want to do it as a teen

I think that not wanting to have sex with a teenager was a common sense call on my part. All of my HS friends had pregnancy scares by 15. I was like, "I can find a million other things to do with that 10 minutes."

So cops are total dicks, I'm sorry but they are, a cop car pulled out in front of me, almost got into a car accident and when I honked my horn at him to let him know there are other cars around, he preceded to make a u-turn follow me and then pulled me over, saying I was driving recklessly and when I pointed out the fact that he pulled out of on coming traffic and almost hit me he didn't like that very much so he told me to pull out my licence and went to his little car machine thing and came back and gave me a warning

he's all like "I'll let it go this time little lady." F U and your "little lady" I didn't want to press my luck with a ticket so I left. Ugg what is with people and power?

But I agree...what a dick! Seriously.

It's actually interesting that you mention people and power because we're discussing this in my intro class (as it pertains to librarians and library science) and this guy and he did to you is in direct contrast with what responsible allocation of power means.
