Nina Repeta named Spokesperson for www.womenshearthealth.net

To The Dawson's Creek Community of Fans:

It can now be announced publicly that Nina Repeta (http://www.ninarepeta.com) has been named Spokesperson for http://www.womenshearthealth.net and will be appearing at the "Women Who Rock" Concert Event at the Carolina Theatre, Fletcher Hall, (http://www.carolinatheatre.org) in Durham, NC on Sunday afternoon, September 25, 2005.

We appreciate your interest in helping to create awareness for Women’s Heart Health Issues and for seeing it as more than just a domestic U.S. health issue – it is a worldwide health issue that can be greatly controlled through education and community involvement.

If interested, we could use help in one of the following ways:

Pre-Event – using internet resources, spread the word of the event (see http://www.womenshearthealth.net for further information) to your virtual community – our main action item is to get people to the event in order for http://www.womenheart.org (The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, Washington, DC), the event’s non-profit beneficiary, to disseminate information on a heart healthy lifestyle, diet, and how family history can affect a woman’s potential for heart disease.

Day of the Event – We can always use volunteers to carry out various duties to assist the production crews, talent, and logistics team to make for a smooth and successful concert event – please contact me directly at brianwilliamd@aol.com for more information.

General - For a background on just how devastating heart disease is to women, the following web site(s) give a picture of the numbers and why it is on the target list for action and these agencies can always use your help:

http://www.womenheart.org
http://www.womenshearthealth.net
http://www.americanheart.org
http://www.mayoclinic.com and click on “Heart”
http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov and click on “Heart/Vascular”
Also see the following:

http://womensissues.about.com/od/hea...womenheart.htm
http://www.womensheartfoundation.org/

Financially – We are not soliciting monies for the event from the Message Board community BUT we are in need of funds to help underwrite the event and the proposed Mini-Tour in February 2006 (National Heart Month) that will culminate in a day long festival of the bands who have participated in the months leading up to the festival. If you are aware of an organization that would like to help and be seen as a good citizen, please contact me at brian@cevpro.com and we will follow up.

On behalf of the wonderful people trying to make a difference in combating the devastation of women’s heart disease and those trying to create an awareness for those issues, I thank you and look forward to your continued support.

Yours,

Brianwilliamd
