Welcome to the Jen Lindley/Drue Valentine Appreciation Thread

Plucked from the busy streets of NYC, both holding onto troubled pasts, Drue Valentine and Jen Lindley were reunited in the sleepy, seaside town of Capeside, Mass. in Season 4. Though somewhat dysfunctional, as a pair they came together to win our hearts, showing us that even the baddest seeds from the Big Apple can be good deep down.

Drue: Jennifer Lindley. Girl who set New York on fire. I thought moving here was going to be the most miserable mistake of my life.
Jen: I'm sorry… you live here now?
Drue: Might want to sound a little more upbeat when you say that. Guy could take offense.
Jen: Drue Valentine in Capeside. God help us all.

Jen: You know, I can't believe I'm saying this, but thank you. For the party. Turned out to not be so horrible.
Drue: Well, thank you for coming. I hope I got the number of candles right.

Drue: Well, this can't be a social call, since we've barely spoken in months, which, by the way, has been damaging to my ego.
Jen: God, you are gonna make this so hard. I can't believe that you and I actually used to be friends.
Drue: Well, you know, we were friends because we were a lot alike. We both had an intense desire to feel nothing.

Drue: But you made it perfectly clear that it wasn't about us. Nothing that night was about us.
Jen: I used you to provoke him, didn't I? Oh, god. That's why you didn't want to talk about it.
Drue: No worries. I just figured you were a lesbian or something.
Jen: Heh heh! I wish. Drue, I'm sorry. I'm real sorry I used you.
Drue: Apology accepted.

Drue: Jack told me everything and my answer is yes, Jen, I'd love to go to the prom with you.

Drue: Jen, seriously, what's the matter?
Jen: Drue, seriously, you don't care.

Jen: Oh, not so fast, tex. I don't really see the wisdom of letting you in.
Drue: What do you want me to do, serenade you first?
Jen: Yes, that would be lovely.

It definately suits them. Half the time, I catch myself watching how they physically interact as opposed to what they're saying.

It was a great part of the mystery behind Drue and Jen. They could hide their true feelings with words but their body language gave it all away. They always stood close, even when they bickered. And neither could help smiling most of the time when they other was around.

Jen and Drue had the ability to communicate with just a certain look or glance at each other. They were so cute in the Prom episode.

Speaking of looks...

I doubt anyone can look at that cap, and the way he is looking at Jen, and tell me that he went to the prom with her for the money. He looks spellbound, like nothing else existed in that moment but her.

I love this moment, its like Drue had eyes only for Jen. And like he dropped all the masks, sarcasm, and pretense. Such naked adoration in that one look.

The look Drue is giving Jen in that Prom cap says more than any words could express. He really cared for her so much.
