Episode #610 - "Merry Mayhem"

Dawson (James Van Der Beek) and Gail (Mary-Margaret Humes) invite everyone back to Capeside for Christmas, but things aren't very merry.
Dawson confronts Natasha (Bianca Kajlich) about her night with another man; Joey's (Katie Holmes) happiness that Eddie (Oliver Hudson) accepts her invitation quickly turns sour when her father (guest star Gareth Williams), on temporary parole, expresses his disapproval of their relationship; Pacey (Joshua Jackson) returns home with an expensive new car and fancy gifts to impress his family; Jen (Michelle Williams) spends her time consoling Grams (Mary Beth Peil) whose boyfriend dumped her; and Audrey (Busy Philipps) gets loaded on a combination of liquor and pills and crashes in more ways than one.

David Petrarca directed the episode written by Tom Kapinos.

audery was funny and honest in this episode....i couldnt have cared less about eddie or natasha....seriously WHATEVER

also just wanted to mention what joey says at the start during the voiceover...its both ridiculous and stupid....i cant find the script but its something about her being unlucky in love i hope someone can find it and post it

Whatever.

This episode- better than most, but still not exactly brilliant.

thanks for that, ill bold the parts that are totally ridiculous

first of all as far as we can tell all the boys fell to hard and not a single guy could resist our joey.
second of all her romantic life was not a disaster!!!!
third of all her relationship with pacey was def functional it lasted a year almost whilst her earliar relationship with dawson also can be regarded as functional

i could go on but im sure i dont need to as we all can see how non-sensecal it is!

I think this was a good episode actually, but I agree about the beginning. That was so not true.

I don't mind Eddie. He was sweet.

I don't see anything wrong with what she says in the beginning. She even said there is nothing wonderful about her. All her relationships have failed. She looking at the endings of them. She said temporary with Eddie, like for now until something happens to screw it up

I woke up with this episode after the ones before put me to sleep. LOL Todd's rant was just hilarious and I also crack up when Joey's dad says ''maybe you have an opening for Eddie here'' LOL. I was so happy to see D/J talk although I wish it was more because after this scene they do not have 1 again till the end.

I remember when DJ hugged at the end of the episode and how some people thought it was going to lead to something which reminded me of PJ hugging a year earlier and thinking the same thing and it leading to nothing too. Just something I remembered

Todd was so funny, I cracked a smile when Dawson suggested he wrap up his "prayer". Eddie bugged me from the first time he showed up. Ditto for Natasha she was not worth the screen time spent on her storyline.

Audrey was scary but she seemed to nail on the head the whole problem with the creek.

I loved Todd! Everytime he'd show up on screen, I smiled He was a very good role model for Dawson to have and you could really tell they cared about each other...

They did have what seemed to be a real mentor friendship. I agree Dawson learned a lot from him. Loved how he slipped in the British slang terms.
