Watched Discovery last night. That episode is just so sad. I don't get why Gail kept having an affair after Joey caught her. I forgot that Gail didn't end it after their conversation in Dance.

And poor Mitch, so excited to celebrate their anniversary while she's having an affair with Bob. And poor Dawson, his whole world was rocked. Affairs are awful and I think DC did a great job with portraying that. It affects everyone around them. I can see why Dawson wanted to tell his dad the truth--it wast he right thing to do but a hard thing to do.

Yeah, Gail was not likeable in the beginning due to her affair. I can't believe she expected Joey to keep her secret. That was horrible.

^ And that it continued. She didn't even decide to end it until Dawson busted her. She knew she had no choice but to tell Mitch the truth.

Just watched Hurricane last night and it was such a heartwrenching episode. I really felt awful for Mitch. Dawson said some pretty terrible things too but I can understand his anger as well. Affairs are awful and I'm glad the show didn't shy away from that. The Mitch/Gail scene in the car is so sad, "I've decided I don't want to love you anymore."

Yeah, there were many heartbreaking scenes during that story and it was easy to feel for Mitch and Dawson.

^ Yeah, they actually mirror each other quite frequently. Like in Boyfriend--they were both having relationship problems. I like that Mitch encouraged Dawson to compromise with Jen and in turn he compromised with Gail. It was nice to see Mitch soften toward Gail while maintaining boundaries as they danced at the end.

I'm really paying more attention to their s/l this time around. Maybe it's because I'm older and things look different than they did when I was younger.

You do look at relationships differently as you get older. I appreciate Mitch and Gail more now as well and I think they had good chemistry.
