The Leery's #1:"Welcome to the Leery house, where it's Deja-screw all over again."
Hey All!
This is an appreciation thread for the Family of Mitch, Gail, Dawson, and Lily Leery I wanted to make this thread because this family has gone through so many ups and downs and yet, they still always came back to each other. __________________

^ It really was. I was seriously crying during that episode. How numb Dawson was, how sad Gail was, and Lilly was just a baby, she didn't get to know Mitch.
Oh, the title comes from Season 4, episode 401: (Dawson and Jen walking into the living room and finding Mitch and Gail making out on the couch. Jen smiles and Dawson clears his throat.) Mitch: Dawson! Gail: Jen! Mitch: Dawson and Jen. Dawson: Welcome to the Leery house, where it's Deja-screw all over again. Mitch: (getting off Gail and helping her up) No, no, no. We were just going over the possible renovations for the home. Gail: (laughing) You're dying on the vine, dear. Jen: (laughing) Later, Mrs. Leery. Mr. Leery. (Dawson and Jen walk out) Mitch: (walking up the stairs, with Gail following behind) You said you checked the rooms. Gail: I did. Mitch: You didn't check the dark room. Gail: I didn't count the dark room. Mitch: From now, the dark room counts. __________________

I love that scene, I also like the scene from the Pilot with Dawson and Pacey
Dawson: Oh God. Mom! Mr. Leery: Oh, hi son. *He dumps Mrs. Leery on the floor.* Mr. Leery: Your mother and I were... Mrs. Leery: Uh, just discussing whether or not... Mr. Leery: We needed a new coffee table. Mr. Leery: Hi Pacey. Pacey: Hi Mr. Leery. Mrs. Leery. Mrs. Leery: Hi Pacey. Oh don't look so red Dawson. It could be worse. *Dawson looks away.* Pacey: You know what Mrs. Leery? I really do love that new hairdo. Mrs. Leery: Oh. Thank you Pacey. Mr. Leery: I thought you had to work. Dawson: We ran late. Mrs. Leery: I should get going. Okay Mr. Man-meat, I'll see you later. Dawson: Mom. Ah! and I like how later Pacey asks if that makes Dawson Mr. Man-Meat Jr. and OMG...I was such a mess during that episode, with the flashbacks of Mitch teaching Pacey to drive, putting up the ladder to Dawson's room, putting the crib together |

^ Did you notice how much those scenes are similar. All that changed was that it was Jen with Dawson instead of Pacey.
Oh gosh, the flashbacks! That was incredibly sad. I hate the writers for killing him off. It seems on every TV show writers seem to love to kill off the father. It loved when Lilly was born. Mitch was too cute for words, gushing about his baby daughter. And then Dawson holding his sister for the first time. __________________

Awww I LOVE the Leerys. One of the most powerful scenes was during "Hurricane" when Mitch was telling Gail that he chose to hate her after she told him she was having an affair.
And I love Lily and Dawson and in the series finale how they watched old movies together. __________________

Oh Britney, what a great idea! Why did anyone ever think of this? Thank you again
Of course I love the Leery's. I am so gonna love this thread I liked very much their scene in S5, episode 5.02 I think, when Dawson goes home to tell them he is leaving L.A school and Mitch and Gale are sitting in the picnic table and watching Dawson holding Lily sitting in a blanket __________________

I hate that too. I mean they kill off the people the fans like the most, but when it comes to the bad guys, they never kill them off. __________________

Yes, he wanted off, that is why they killed him off
But even knowing that, it was still SO sad to watch *sniff* __________________

Yeah, I know I guess he had some compromise and had to leave out fast or sth I have no diea But yes, even if it had to be a car accident, it could have been done better. Maybe they were trying to send te message of not being distracted while driving or sth?
Anyway, back to the Leery's love, anotehr scene I love was at graduation, when they gave Dawson the watch __________________

^ That was an adorable scene. And then during the graduation scene, how cute Mitch and Gail are:
And then in 'Coda' when their trying to decide which picture they like better, "Lilly looking adorable in her pink bow, Lilly looking adorable in her blue bow, or Lilly looking adorable with Dawson." __________________
