 Watched the pilot today and it reminded me of how much I always liked his character. He has such a sweet innocence to him. He was idealistic but I think we all are in some ways. And he even admitted that he rejects reality, he knows that about himself. I think we all do that in some way, whether if it's by playing an instrument, writing, or watching television/movies (  ).__________________

It will be interesting to see how the show is received. I hope for James' sake that it is a success, as the last 3 shows he has been on have not faired very well.

Dawson has always been my favorite character and the one I related to the most. He's very creative and passionate about film. I always loved books and writing so I could relate to that part of his character. He was also an all or nothing kind of person which fits me as well. When he loved someone, he was all in, even when it hurt. I think his idealism got in his way sometimes but that's part of learning and growing. In high school, I had crushes like the one Dawson had on Jen in early s1 where I was more in love with the idea of someone than the actual person. It was kind of cute how he embarrassed himself in front of Jen at the dance in 1x02. He was trying to go for it and ended up putting his foot in his mouth.  I like that he was willing to admit that was stupid of him. Because he was wrong to try to get rid of Cliff without her asking him to. I also hope James' comedy goes well. __________________
