Ok, so i just posted about this in the other thread too, and I thought we could talk about it here too. I was thinking of the finale and Jen's message to Amy which awson recorded, and something struck me.

I might be totally off about this, but i think everyone knew that Dawson was the dreamer amongst all of them, he was the one who believed when no one else could have had faith and he remained optimistic even though he faced so much heartache. So if you see it that way, I think its so awesome that Jen wanted Amy to be like him, cuz Jen said in S2, that she wished she had his kind of hope and thats what made him so special.

Its so sweet, that Jen wanted her daughter to be a dreamer, like Dawson.

I thought of dawson too when she said that. I think Jen was always missing that hope and optimisn that she saw in Dawson. I remember she mentions it a couple of times in the second season too, That she doesn't have his optimism to tide over bad times. I think thats what she'd want most for her daughter, to not suffer like she did with her demons.

It kinda makes me wish Amy was Dawson's

Exactly. She says it many time in S2, that she didnt have the kind of hope he had, and thats what made him special. She wished her daughter the same kind of hopefulness and ability to have faith even in hard times.

Aw, i wish she was Dawson's as well. To come to think of it, after Jack, i think Jen loved Dawson the most. He would make such a great dad, he'd spoil her and totally dote on her. Awww. Just thinking about is making me tear up.

I had never seen that part of the finale but it's very touching. It would have been great for us to discover that Amy was Dawson's, bet Joey would have been pissed.

You havent seen the entire finale, Karen? I dont blame you for not watching certain parts of it, but Jen's message to Amy?

Ooh! Joey wouldve been pissed and envious. After all, she wants to have Dawson's babies.
