So I don't really frequent the Dawson's Creek page but I'm currently rewatching it and just finished season one...I figured I would begin an informal season discussion.

So season one introduced us to the original four. Pacey is the screw-up that everyone loves and has extraordinary potential, Jenn is the vunerable blonde from NY, Joey has really low self-esteem even though everybody loves her, and Dawson, well he's the oblivious, idealistic movie buff.

I'm not really good with recaps, soo long story short - Dawson crushes on Jenn, Joey crushes on Dawson, Gail cheats on Mitch, Pacey loses his virginity (to a teacher!) Jenn and Dawson go out, then break-up, Pacey crushes on Joey - who rejects him - Jenn and Dawson almost get back together - about three times over - until Dawson finallly figures it out and in the season finale cliffhanger Joey and Dawson get together.

Just to begin, when I first watched DC, I never really loved the idea of Joey/Dawson, but it was obvious that they were the big power couple. While I still find them a bit annoying (all this drama and whining) it is a nice idea - falling in love with your best friend?

It's pretty cool to be able to rewatch and see where certain relationships started off - Pacey and Joey for example have a great love hate relationship in this season and they really connect. The vunerability in Jenn is blatantly obvious, especially in the last episode when she realizes she may have given up the perfect guy and now he's finally giving up on her.

Oh, and I'm digging the 90's music...

Any thoughts?
