I have to admit I enjoyed their rivalry over Dawson and their fights, but I also think it's awesome that they ended up liking each other and respecting each other

I'm glad they got over the rivarly and ended up as friends. It must of been a nice change for Joey, since she was always surrounded by boys in her life.

I think you are correct, she did do it in spite, but Jen was so "experienced" and had seen so much more. Joey had to think highly of her even if they were not getting along.

Joey felt threatened by Jen's experience. She acknowledged it. And she always wanted to see the world outside of the quiet Capeside while Jen wanted some quietness for a change. They were not the most similar girls, but Jen was always willing to be Joey's friend. I'm glad they ended up being good friends, not the best, but they could certainly count on each other.

This was such a great friendship. I loved that they overcame where they started at and became really good friends. Some of my favorite moments though were in season 1 when Jen was trying to be Joey's friend, like when she was helping her with the beauty pageant. It was great to see the beginning of that.

Ya I liked to see their friendship growing and how Joey went to her for advice with Pacey and Jen was really there for her. It was very nice.
