I wonder if Jack and grams stayed close after Jens passing?

Watched Baby a few days ago and I liked seeing the Jen/Grams relationship grow. I think Jen realized in that episode that Grams isn't the person she believed she was. That happened with the audience as well. I really liked the scene toward the end when Grams said, "Just because we don't say certain things to each other doesn't mean we don't feel them." That was a really sweet, subtle moment. Now that I'm older, I can see that Grams was just trying to protect Jen from things that had hurt her in the past. I know it was hard for Jen to see that all the time, but it makes sense given her past in New York.

I remember when I first started watching DC, I was thinking "who is this person" when seeing Grams. She seemed so close minded and judgemental, but she ended up being my favourite parent/guardian of the entire show.
\I loved the way she stuck up for Jack in S2 and I loved that comment in the beginning of S3 when she watches Jack and Jen get their Breakfast ready and she says "and how long have you two been married". __________________

she grew on me too whereas I couldn't stand her in season 1 because of her attitude towards Bessie and Bodie especially
But then this happened : Jen: I can not believe you. For you to just magically suggest that someone can decide whether or not to be gay is insane. Ty: The facts don't lie, Jen! The gay movement has been nothing but medically and morally damaging to this country. Jen: What?! Grams: I've tried to stay out of this, but I can't, Jennifer. Jen: No, no! I am not going to let you guys moral majority me, here, when you don't even know all the facts! Grams: What I have to say is not directed at you, Jen, what I have to say is for Tyson. If Jack is gay, he does not need your judgement, young man. The Lord above will judge him, as he will all of us. What he needs from you, from me, from everyone else in this world is love and tolerance. If anything, that boy is feeling scared and alone and he will need the understanding of his fellow man to help him through this. Let's save judgement for someone much more experienced than you. (Jen smiles and stands up next to Grams, those two ganged up on Ty.) __________________

I think Grams is the one of the most evolved characters on the show. Love her even more during my current rewatch on POP.

I think Grams is misunderstood in early s1, probably because she didn't get as much of a pov as others. She was looking out for Jen who had made some really bad choices that emotionally damaged her in New York. And like she said at the end of s1, prayer changes her so maybe she prayed about some of the things she felt/saw early in the season and it changed her heart. That would've been great to see on television as someone who had a deep faith, it's something I can relate to and there just aren't a lot of characters like that. And I like that it didn't change, it was a core part of Grams.
Anyway, the Grams/Jen scene at the church in Decisions breaks my heart. The way Grams lets her walls down and cries in Jen's arms is so touching. I think it's the first time we really saw Grams let herself need someone and that was beautiful. __________________

I love that scene with Jen and Grams in Decisions. Breaks my heart, too.
Grams' faith was always strong, but I like that she opened up to change as time went on as well. Jen and Grams helped each other become better people. __________________

Watched "The Kiss" last night and I love the change in the Jen/Grams dynamic in s2. It was sweet how Grams opened up her arms and told Jen she loved her when Jen doubted that anyone loved her. And how Jen apologized for assuming that Grams didn't care that her grandfather died. It kind of broke my heart when Grams said she came to the Rialto to be with him.
