 They had to make joey the better choice.

I think Pacey and Joey were able to become friends so fast because Pacey would rather be her friend then not have her in his life at all. Same for Joey. That shows how much they truly love each other.

IMO I would change the fact that Audrey and Pacey dated.

I could have bought a Pacey/Andie break up if they'd done it in a realistic manner, such as them just growing apart, or Andie leaving. But sadly no, they just had to make Joey look the better choice as you said.

I think it was sort of bad writing for them to butcher a character who was such a good person, just to make the idea of another ship seem more appealing. If Pacey and Joey had to become a thing, they could have done it so much better than they did.

I liked them better than pacey/joey.

I never liked Andie and Pacey together. I thought Andie was very annoying. I think he cheating on Pacey was a believable storyline because Andie wasn't emotionally or mentally together. Cheating on him was very realistic IMO.

As for Audrey, yes she was a good time and Pacey wouldn't pass up a good time with a sexually active woman, but considering the smart, and simple like woman he actually loved (Tamara, Andie, Joey) Audrey was a little much for him and not really his type.

not really, it was mostly to put pacey/joey together who imo got annoying in season 4. I still don't get the appeal of them tbh. they fought and made up over and over the same issue and joey got worse as the seasons progressed. PJo was good season 3 I will agree there, but they did a lot of character assassination to put those two together. I don't really think they were realistic. I thought he can do better. I mean if you don't like andie, that's your perogative. but are you saying because she's mentally ill she would cheat on him?

I kind of agree. I don't hate Pacey/Andie, but I don't love them. I don't think Andie cheating on Pacey is completely unbelievable either, that is just my opinion of course.

I plain never liked Pacey/Audrey. I like both of them separately, just not together.

No I'm not saying because she's mentally ill that she would cheat, I was pretty much saying that because of the issues Andie had, the cheating makes sense. She was scared and a bit insecure in rehab and found someone who understood what she was going through. So the fact that she cheated wasn't ok but it made sense. They could have made that happen just for a PJO outcome, but I was just saying her cheating isn't that bizarre.

Take Audrey for example as well. Audrey had a major drinking problem and slept with CJ and kissed other guys while she was with Pacey. Her issues had a lot to do with that because she was drunk. In this case though, I don't think they gave Audrey a problem to bring on a PJO reunion.

I hope that made sense, lol. :)

I understand where you are coming from but I don't agree. I don't ever feel Andie would have cheated regardless of her issues or not. It just really didn't make sense to me and I do feel it was simply so they could do PJo. There were other, better ways to handle PA's break up then cheating. At the end of the day, I think it was just a cheap trick to free up Pacey.

As for Audrey and Pacey, it was always clear that they were never going to last and I think by season 6, the writers just had no idea what to do with her. I agree, the drinking issue wasn't bought about because they wanted PJo. For me, I think it's because they had no other ideas for her. A real shame.

you couldnt' have said it better. All the girls were ruined for PJo. I did ship early Pjo and they had some good moments, but they got annoying later on imo.

Premise: English is not my mother language, and I never study it, so forgive me for the mistakes.

If I could, I would not rewrite anything. There is no need.

Because, girls, the real ''Dawson's Creek'' is just S1 and nothing else. S2-6 could never existed at all. Season 1 is like a movie with a beginning, a middle and an end. THE END.

Everything else is like a bad number 2 without sense created only for economic reasons.

What Kevin Williamson really wanted, his world's vision, what is capable of writing, his heart and desidere is...in Season 1. And, in fact, the first season is pratically perfect.

You have no idea how much commercial reasons and network-studios-editors interference destroy TV, cinema and even letterature, today. Except rare exceptions, the stories, at the beginning are largely the writers propretry, then became a totally upper floors proprety with their pressure, notes, contracts ''blackmail''. Money, money and money are the reason of the all destructions. In an ideal world, Kevin Williamson would write S1 and only S1 like, for example: only ''The Silence of the lambs'' would have existed (and not the bad Hannibal or Red Dragon) and million other similar ''number 2 - continuos'' movies, books and situations. So, to me, only S1 really existed. And S1 is pretty much perfect, so, no rewriting is necessary.

I hope my comment is understable. Thanks for the attention and patience.

Season 1 was the best and there are times I wish the show ended there.

I enjoy lots of the rest of the show too.

There is no doubt the best writing was the first season.

KW had no plan for another Season and that will always bug me.

Mostly from Season 2 on I don't like how DJo were written.

They had their moments but never got a real shot as a couple.:pout:

I multiship DJo PJo and Pandie.

The only couple I pretty much couldn't stand was Joey/Eddie.
