They were able to go back home finally on Thursday, they were gone for over a week. Luckily, they did not have too much damage, as they are about 5 miles out of Wilmington. They could not take main roads home though and had to drive through South Carolina to get home. They said the roads were awful, trees everywhere, whole billboards completely ripped off, etc. I am just glad they are all okay.

Yeah, that's the bridge to Dawson's house. Seeing that hurt my heart more than I thought it would.

Same here, it really hurts. This sounds maybe weird and selfish, but when you are always dreaming to visit this place one day it's heart breaking to see it like that. And I feel so sorry for all these people down there.

It's so sad to see the flooding and the damage to the dock. Wilmington was so picturesque on Dawsons Creek. It's sad to think of all of those scenes of the creek with the water glistening as the sun set, and then to see that picture

That video must have been taken by the current owners of the Leery house.

It is sad to hear and see the damage, but overall the infamous bridge doesn't look too badly damaged, so that's a bonus.
