An absolute fave episode for me. I loved the focus on the nature of DJ's relationship and the vulnerability between the pair as they consider the implications of leaving Capeside. I have always enjoyed DJ dialogue and this final conversation between the two evoked a lot of season 1 memories, but in a totally new context. Because of the centrality of the DJ story I can understand a PJer's difficulty with the episode, but hey

I am a PJer and I think it isnt weird that Joey kissed Dawson just one month (about) after PJ broke up. Dawson had always been in her life, he was her family when she didn't have any and he was her first love. We always go back to what we know, and she knew Dawson. (dont know if that makes sense, so sorry if it doesnt)

I just watched 'Coda' again so I could share my thoughts about the episode. First of all I have to admit I haven't read every post in the thread But anyway.

I think 'Coda' is a pretty great episode. It's definitely not my favorite, but it's good. I so love how the episode is filled with emotions, Jack, Jen and Grams last night in the house, Paceys phonecall to Dawson and the most special, the soulmates (or hellmates ) Dawson and Joey saying goodbye.
One thing I really like is how they are taking things from the very first episode 'Pilot', like the hair-number, Jen and Joey, and when Dawson and Joey are watching "ET".

I think it was great to see Dawson and Joey beeing friends like they used to be, lying on the bed, watch a movie and just talk. That's how Dawson and Joey are for me so I think that was great.

And then we have Paceys phonecall. I think that was pretty powerfull. He's trying to sound normal when he asks Dawson about Joey, but you can see on his face that it's hard.
I loved to hear Pacey telling Dawson that he still thinks about their friendship despite everything that happened and I think it was really important for Dawson to say that he's proud of Pacey and for Pacey to hear it.

Jen, Jack and Grams are just so cute A family and I like when Grams is telling stories about when she was young.

And now Dawson and Joeys goodbye. I can just imagine how it would feel to say goodbye to someone who has been your best friend, your other half, as long as you can remember. Someone you have seen everyday and suddenly you won't see that person for a long time.
I thought it was really beautiful when Joey asked Dawson if he believed in magic and she said that that he's proof that somebody out there is thinking of her. Her friend who is with her always.
But I think that the kiss in the end was just wrong, but that's me, the PJer

i enjoyed reading your thoughts on it, i get nervous coming to threads like this because i don't like to fight about things, i'm glad that hasn't happened here.

i love the Pacey/Dawson phone call, it makes me sad that they never really patched things up.

Jen/jack/Grams were great in this episode...always love them.

You don't have to agree with everything, just let others have their opinions

oh i know what you mean, i respect other people's opinions, but sometimes people get into debates and fight about it which isn't cool. so i try to avoid such situations because we all love the same show which is all that really matters.
