I remember that scene where they are in the rowboat discussing it but was that the only time? To me, they did not really gave a "deep sex talk" little by little, day to day or the DC time period on if they were ready or if and when they should, you know to prepare themselves for when it happened because obviously they both wanted to be eachother's first, right? But was he or she going to still wait just beacause they are young and she is scared. That is why you must really communicate with eachother. Talk about that issue so that you won't fell awkward until you feel somewhat secure, which I thought p/j did (in their own way). We have all seen it the episodes before "A Winter's tale" where pacey showed and talked a few times about sex. And you can see Joey expressing herself on that issue. Showing and telling Pacey that she is scared but she wants to do it. BTW, just because you talk and are even on the verge on doing it does talk away how scared you are because sexin general is a big thing. Another thing is that both Pacey and Joey left an impression on themselves that they want to do it and so it was like Joey showed signs that she wanted more (the tension kept building more for Joey up to this episode) thus having to discuss it with him even though Pacey, a few times had to be the one to get her to start talking about that issue. But back to the topic: Very nice episode, I say __________________

I think they had talks about it after they broke up for the first time (Sex, She Wrote?). I think that Joey and Pacey discussed it too, and Pacey repected her just as much as Dawson did and waited until she came to him. I'd have rather seen a scene where she came to him and told her that she wanted to have sex, but she was still a little scared and have him help her through it then the one that was shown. But there are so many scenes I'd change in the series, this was just one.

eatyourgreens,
I beg to differ, chivalry certainly is NOT alive and kicking and when a guy is thoughtful it doesnt mean a girl should act as if he's just supposed to be that way, showing your appreciation is part of that package and thats what Joey was doing, her point in her speech was that the things that he did were involuntary and done out of love. I also think one of the problems is that you just posted a whole schpiel about that speech in relation to it making Pacey look better than Dawson. How in the world did that speech have ANYTHING to do with Dawson? Why is it that whenever Joey says something nice about Pacey Dawson fans always take it as a dig at Dawson? The last scene in this episode was far removed from Dawson, he obviously wasnt a though in Joey or Paceys mind and I think that you are really jumping to a conclusion in saying that the speech made Pacey look better than Dawson because really it had nothing to do with Dawson wahtsoever, contrary to popular belief, not everything said and done on the show was in relation to Dawson. Just because Joey pointed out the things that Pacey did right as a boyfriend doesnt mean she was saying Dawson did them wrong. I dont understand where you got that from. Lastly, I think it's odd that you're complaining about virgin Joey not showing any fear in regards to sex. The entire season was shrouded in Joeys fear of sex! Before, during the episode and evern after when sh ewoke up with the typical "I just had sex for the first time, uh oh" look on her face. Hell, the entire episode she was terrified because she knew the issue was coming to a head, how can you possibly say that she shows no fear? When the actual event happened, yea she was eager because she'd made the decision andwanted to do it, but to say that she suddenly transformed into this fearless sex pot is incorrect. I'd say she showed enough fear for a dozen virgins. |

I just dont like PJ together because I think Pacey can do so much better. As annoying as Pacey’s insecurities are, Joey just picks fights with him all the time. She did it with Dawson too. I just find her so obnoxious. She was just making up reasons to get mad at Pacey the entire episode and it was getting so old.
I’m glad they finally had sex so we don’t have to listen to them talk in circles about the conversation over and over again. But I really dont think it was the right time for them to do it after Pacey admits he believes thats he wants there fist time to be with Dawson. I mean, just YIKES. How can DJ shippers just move on when he’s constantly being brought up in their arguments? Quote:
I will say though I did enjoy the PJ scene though because everything Joey said was entirely true. But we already know that Pacey is an amazing guy . How she held out for 9 months I will never know haha. (though I am glad they talked about it because at least not his show they are treating sex like it means something and arent portraying their characters just sleeping around). Dawson’s storyline was pretty boring to me, but I think it was definitely something that Dawson would struggle over so it made sense. I really enjoyed the DJ convo on the phone. I like that those two are still getting scenes together at least. Jack/Jen were sorta cute, but it was also weird to throw those two together when we know that Jack is gay. Had Jack not been gay they would have been a really adorable pairing but because he is, it just feels stupid. |

I love Pacey and Joey's scene at the end. Her speech to Pacey about all the sweet, loving things he has done for her and treated her was so nice. Along with her saying ten back to him just like he said to her in SK. I also thought it was cute as Joey was telling Pacey all the reasons she wants to lose her virginity to him that Pacey seemed nervous. Along with the part where she kissed his hand. It was just such a gentle, vulnerable scene. Loved Pacey cupping her hair as they issed. Them using tongue didn't hurt either

You guys brought it up so here you go.
As far as Jack and Jen in this episode, I think the best thing that came out of their scenes was when Jack admitted he was scared of never finding anyone to love as much as he loves her. My heart melts every single time he says that and IMO Jack and Jen are the TRUE Soulmates from this show. __________________

Lovely description! It was a perfect love scene for them! I always love to see pics of the scene! This episode showed why Jen and Jack are true soulmates. Their scenes were very sweet. __________________

Love the pics, and you know it's serious when TV couples use tongue. Actors usually don't do that (even though JJ and KH used to date) I also love Jack and Jen's scene too.

PJo's love scene was nice, but it's kind of tainted for me by their morning after :/
