NP, girls.

It's exciting to see this on a 5th thread. For so long, it was completely dead.

Drue is a great character and seeing that he gets some much needed appreciation is definitely a good thing.

I think it's impossible not to love Drue as a character, he was so interesting

Drue did shake things up in Capeside but he did it in sort of an amusing way at times. When he first moved from New York he was a real fish out of water and it took a while for anyone to make him feel welcome. Just when he was getting in good with the group, the writers took him away from us. I can only imagine how much better season 5 and 6 would have been with Drue around.

If S4 was any indication, I agree that he could definitely added something to the last two seasons.

Here's one of those "Where are they now?" articles that was featured in the New York Daily Times yesterday.

18 of 29

'Dawson's Creek': Where are they now?

Mark Matkevich (Drue Valentine)

Jen's wild times in the New York party scene weren't completely erased after her move to Capeside. One of her old friends, Drue Valentine popped back up in her life when his family moved to Capeside. Valentine offered Jen drugs, namely ecstasy, which causes her friends to believe that she's digressed back to her old ways.

Matkevich played the cynical and spoiled Drue Valentine, but has done his fair share of acting since then. He played Tom Darovsic in 'Sweet Home Alabama' and Josh on the series, 'Quarterlife.' Mainly a small character in TV series, he's also appeared in episodes of 'Dexter' and 'Wrigleyville.'

Aw, thanks for bringing that over.
And I'm great that he was included in the article. Sometimes, I think his character got overlooked a bit.

I've been meaning to get into Dexter for ages, I'll definitely look out for Mark when I do.
