Do You Remember...

This may be difficult for some but Im going to give you a few scenarios regarding Pacey, Joey and Dawson throughout the seasons and I want you to try to remember your thought process when these scenarios happened as far as where the series was headed. Did you start to think Pacey and Joey had a chance to end the series? Did you think that there was no way Dawson and Joey wouldnt remain the core romantic pair until the end? Did you start to have doubts about a certain pair? Did you start to think that certain friendships were getting back on track?

See if you can track what you thought at certain points throughout the series and whether or not they came true.

This canwork for people who were both spoiled and unspoiled. If you were unspoiled then it's easy, just try to post what you thought after you saw the initial episode or scene. If you were spoiled, just try to post what you thought after you heard that spoiler. You dont have to choose all of the scenarios, maybe there's a really funny story you have about the first time you saw one of these scenes or heard one of these spoilers and you want to comment on it alone, go for it.

If this is too complicated, Im going to start with my honest opinions as I list each one so maybe other people can get an idea of what to write because Lord knows sometimes I make these threads too complicated.

1. Dawson and Joey - The Kiss in Breaking Away- This was the beginning of it all for some. I know that when I saw this Dawson and Joey were in front of any other couple by leaps and bounds, there were just no other options, they were it at the time. I think most people felt that way.

2. Dawson and Joey- The "I dont want to know you" breakup in Parental Discretion Advised- Many people thought that Joeys words were rather harsh, that this was different from the usual adolescent breakup but I still knew DJ would get through it and were still the most likely favorites to be together, again, there were no other options

3. Joey and Pacey sailing away in True Love- This was definitely turning point in the D/J/P saga. Although I thought it was a great step for the show, I was still wary of the many hints and signs throughout the episode that pointed towards DJ not being over so I'd have to say that personally, I thought PJ were just a fling at the time and the show would get back to DJ.

4. Joey and Pacey having sex in A Winters Tale - I remember this being called "Black Wednesday" by many a DJer, a lot of people called it the final nail in the DJ coffin. I wasnt so sure of that, but it seemed like a step in that direction. It was at this point when the notion crept into my mind that maybe Dawson and Joey werent the "it" couple anymore.

5. Dawson and Joey's Coda Kiss- Many people thought it was a goodbye kiss, many thought it would lead to something bigger in season 5. When the kiss happened what did you think? Personally I was on such a high from 20+ episode of Pacey and Joey that I was still hoping for a season 5 reunion for them so I didnt really see this kiss as a deal breaker for PJ. I recall thinking that a reunion for them wasnt out of the question in sason 5, after all Joey had to see him again eventually. I thought the DJ Coda kiss was more of an "Im sorry" to DJers for a season full of PJ. I was wrong at the time.

6. The Pacey and Joey Denial-Gate of season 5 - THIS was looked up on as the nail in the PJ coffin. I honestly felt as if Pacey and Joey were being shoved into the background very blatantly to bring DJ to the forefront and I thought that was it for them although I always had some sort of a glimmer of hope that I'd get to see them in love again since thats the only thing that really entertained me. But I didnt think Pacey and Joey had much of a chance during this season.

7. Dawson and Joey - The First Time- Of course, exclude the episode after this event. Ill have to go by spoilers. When I got the spoiler that Dawson and Joey slept together it was shrouded in a sea of very happy pro PJ sources so I knew it wasnt going to be all that bad, so I cant give a real account of how I wouldve felt had I seen the DJ sex not knowing what came after it. I hope some of you can!

8. Dawson and Joey "The Song Remains The Same" - This was it for me, DJ were So.OVER. (heh) in my mind. Although I wasnt completely sure DJ would never have another chance romantically I can honestly say I was 90% convinced and I recall thinking that if they did I'd have no respect for Joey Potter for getting back with Dawson after that and that I'd rather her a girl like that not with Pacey. So this is when I really felt like DJ not ending it was a big option.

9. Joey and Pacey, The Next Generation (Clean & Sober)- Many people were convinced that Joey and PAcey were not an option whatsoever after season 5, that it would never happen and that if it did it would be a "last fling" for PJers, I remember not even caring if it was! When we got the spoiler that Pacey and Joey kissed in this episode me and my friends were all pretty ecstatic, I personally felt like they were bringing Pacey and Joey back to give them a chance to end up together because the circumstances of the kiss would have to be followed up

10.Dawson and Joey - Ladders, Movies and Reminiscing (Joey Potter and the Capeside Redemption-What did you first think when you heard Joey and Dawson were getting back into that old season 1 routine of making movies and climbing up the ladder together? I remember thining "UhOh", and many people thought it was the road back to DJ, that it was a call back and a sign that they were getting back to basics. It was a warning sign for me, maybe DJ werent out of the picture!

11. Joey and Pacey- The Dance Floor Dip Kiss- The first time you heard about Pacey and Joey kissing in the first part of the finale (without knowing anyhting about anything after that!) or the first time you saw it what was your reaction? For me, I thought it was gret and it gave me hope but I was also pretty careful about getting too excited, there wa sa ver good chance it couldve been an early episode cop out, many people thought it was a "twist", I did at first too.

Ok now choose whichever you'd like, or all if you please, and post what you remember thinking about each moment as far as the couples future went. If you can try to remember exactly what you were thinking without taking into consideration any events that happened after that would be ideal.

Have fun!

Re: Do You Remember...

1. Dawson and Joey - The Kiss in Breaking Away
I can honestly say, that I was never, ever a fan of the Dawson and Joey relationship. I was rooting for the P/J relationship since the first season, so the first kiss was kind of meh' to me, considering the Aussie promo was totally misleading and I expected more from the Pacey and Joey scenes in that episode. So by the time the kiss happened, I didn't overly care one way or the other. I guess there was an air of "about time" to it, but I wasn't fazed by it, but yes I also didn't expect their to be any other main couple at this point.

2. Dawson and Joey- The "I dont want to know you" breakup in Parental Discretion Advised-
I remember I watched this episode at a friends house, and she also didn't like Dawson and Joey and we were irritated that so much of season 2 had been devoted to their (in our opinion) boring saga. So we loved that ending, I guess we knew that they would eventually interact again. But to be honest with you, I was more interested in what would happen between Pacey and Andie, and would Pacey and Joey ever get another scene together, then anything to do with Dawson and Joey.

3. Joey and Pacey sailing away in True Love-
I was so thrilled to have finally had my dose of P/J goodness that I had been waiting for since season 1, so I just loved this episode. I knew that Dawson and Joey would be given another shot down the track, but I remember posting that if Joey could choose Pacey over Dawson once, she could do it again.

4. Joey and Pacey having sex in A Winters Tale -
I remember the time that this happened, there was so much griping over Joey's virginity that the "nookie" more or less became like a competition between the two camps. Um, I was obviously happy that she lost her virginity to Pacey, but in no way saw it as the final nails in the D/J coffin, considering that for alot of season 4, Joey was far too invested in Dawson and his love life for me to confidently say that this was the final nail.

5. Dawson and Joey's Coda Kiss-
Ugh, I loathed this kiss. I couldn't decide whether it was "good-bye" or the refueling of this insipid saga. I figured that it was most likely the latter, considering that Pacey and Joey had an entire season together.

6. The Pacey and Joey Denial-Gate of season 5 -
Yep, after this season I was pretty much sure that Pacey and Joey would never get back together and the 'Ballad of Dawson and Joey' would continue till the end of the series. I remember being so frustrated at how completely unrealistic the handling of their break-up was. I kinda gave up halfway through the season, I watched but just didn't care anymore.

7. Dawson and Joey - The First Time-
I also, was completely spoiled for this episode by this time, and I remember reading alot of posters saying that "this was the final nail in the coffin" and although I was hopeful that this was indeed the case. I had thought this on so many freaking occasions that I didn't put much energy into this theory.

8. Dawson and Joey "The Song Remains The Same" -
See Above.

9. Joey and Pacey, The Next Generation (Clean & Sober)-
Man, when I heard these spoilers I was so freakin' excited. I didn't for one second think that this meant that P/J had a chance of ending the series together. But this came at a time when I had pretty much made peace with the fact that they were never getting back together. So the one 'last hurrah' as many people considered it to be, sounded better to me than nothing.

10.Dawson and Joey - Ladders, Movies and Reminiscing (Joey Potter and the Capeside Redemption-
I was surprisingly unfazed by all of this, because I remember at this time their were spoilers that were still very pro-P/Jo like the 'fierce hug'. the 'butterfly' thing, how in the script it talked of how Dawson was smiling fondly at Joey arguing with Patrick (ala. Pacey/Joey banter). Also, the scenes that I read seemed kinda boring and totally final to me. I still figured that they would end up together (even though, I totally didn't think that they deserved to).

11. Joey and Pacey- The Dance Floor Dip Kiss-
I still didn't think that Pacey/Joey had it in the bag, so to speak, but the fact that they kissed was a pretty awesome sign. Not to mention her reaction. To me, it was clear at that moment that if Dawson and Joey ended up together it would be so contrived, because Joey's reaction to that kiss was pretty indicitive of who she wanted to be with.

Jerry D 09-30-2004 02:06 AM

Great topic Kim. I can remember a lot of my thoughts for each one of the scenes that you listed, because I’ve kept all of my episode commentaries from Season Three on.

1. Dawson and Joey - The Kiss in Breaking Away - I don’t think that I was ever as overjoyed as I was when I saw that kiss in Breaking Away, and I naively thought at the time that it was going to herald an epic romance between Dawson and Joey.

2. Dawson and Joey- The "I don’t want to know you" breakup in Parental Discretion Advised – I was heartbroken when I saw that scene, and I hated Joey for saying those words, but I still held out hope that Dawson and Joey would get back together.

3. Joey and Pacey sailing away in True Love – I was heartbroken for Dawson when Pacey and Joey sailed away, and I hated them both for doing it. Here’s what I wrote at the time: To me, Pacey and Joey deserve each other, because they’re completely heedless of the consequences of their actions, and they only think of themselves. True love, indeed. I still thought at that point that Dawson and Joey would eventually get back together though.

4. Joey and Pacey having sex in A Winters Tale – I couldn’t bring myself to watch that episode in its entirety at the time, and I saw it as a huge slap in the face to the D/Jers. Here’s what I wrote at the time: I will never be able to bring myself to watch the final scene between Pacey and Joey, because as a D/Jer, I would find it too painful to watch, and why should I watch something that I would absolutely hate with everything in me? There's no sense to doing that, so I refuse to do it. Judging from Pacey and Joey's conversation prior to that final scene, which I did see, however, I will always believe that Pacey manipulated Joey into having sex with him by playing the “Dawson card.” By then, I still considered myself to be a D/Jer, but I hated Joey, so I was contradicting myself. ;) I also can’t believe how much I hated Pacey and Joey back then. Silly me! I pretty much didn't know how to feel about the possibility of Dawson and Joey getting back together at the time, and I was pretty much resigned to the fact that Pacey and Joey had become the couple on the show.

5. Dawson and Joey's Coda Kiss - I saw the kiss between Dawson and Joey as a wistful goodbye kiss, and by that time, I had pretty much become disillusioned with them as a couple, but I still loved their friendship. Here’s what I wrote at the time: I was happy when Joey asked Dawson to stay, but I was also happy when Dawson said that he had to move on, as this chapter of his life was over, because he was completely correct. I loved seeing the honesty and the pure emotion displayed between Dawson and Joey in this scene, as she asked him, “Do you believe in magic?” because Joey was right, because there truly was pure magic in Dawson and Joey’s beautiful friendship, and I thought it was fitting that these two very special friends would bid each other a tender and emotional goodbye as they shared a few sweet, wistful kisses, so different from the passionate kiss which had changed their lives forever three years before, but ending with their two silhouettes embracing in Dawson’s window, like at the end of Breaking Away. I didn't really think that they'd be getting back together at that time.

6. The Pacey and Joey Denial-Gate of Season 5 – I thought it was wrong to sweep everything that Pacey and Joey had together under the rug, and by this time, I was no longer a D/Jer, because Dawson and Joey’s “airport scene” in 502, and then his later somehow “blaming” Joey for Mitch’s death finally made me step off the Dawson and Joey merry-go-round. I didn't envision that Pacey and Joey would ever get back together during that season or end up together when the show was over.

7. Dawson and Joey - The First Time - I had read the spoilers for this episode, so I couldn’t enjoy it, and I also thought that whatever chemistry James and Katie had in the past years was gone by this point. Here’s what I wrote at the time: I did see the love and passion between Dawson and Joey, but to me, their scenes together didn’t affect me on an emotional level at all, and at times, I really felt like I was watching two actors dispiritedly trying to play a young couple in love instead of feeling like I was watching the couple I had loved for so long finally make love. I was especially struck by this feeling when I watched them dance at “Hell’s Kitchen,” and I mentally compared that dance to their dance in Season One’s Dirty Dancing, and the difference was really striking, as I remember being enthralled by their all-too-brief dance back then, and I just knew how much they loved each other then, but they were too afraid to admit it, but now, I really felt nothing watching them dance.

8. Dawson and Joey "The Song Remains The Same" – This truly killed things for me as far as Dawson and Joey went. Here’s what I wrote at the time: Somehow, under the “leadership” of Paul Stupin and the no-talent hacks that he has writing for him, the story of Dawson and Joey changed from being a story of two best friends who fell in love to a story of two people who can’t let go of each other, but who don’t have the will or the courage to commit to one another, and that’s no longer a story that appeals to me, so I’m getting off the Merry-Go-Round, and I’ll just take whatever enjoyment I can out of the final season of Dawson’s Creek, and know that the Dawson and Joey that I loved pretty much stopped existing once they kissed at the end of Breaking Away. At that time, I gave up on Dawson and Joey completely, and I no longer wanted them to end up together at the end of the show, because too much damage had been done.

9. Joey and Pacey, The Next Generation (Clean & Sober) - I was absolutely enthralled by Pacey and Joey’s kiss in Clean & Sober, and I became a Next Generation P/Jer at that time. Here’s what I wrote at the time: Now we come to the couple that I never in a million years thought I’d ever like or support, Pacey and Joey. I approached this episode with a skeptical mind, having read the spoilers for it, and it especially irritated me that Joey would kiss Pacey one week after telling Eddie that “she would love him as long as she could,” but all that logic concerning how ridiculous it was to me that Pacey and Joey could rekindle their romantic feelings for one another after all this time went out the window when I saw them in this episode. I really have to say that I really loved all of Pacey and Joey’s scenes, and for the first time ever, I really saw the chemistry between them that so many of the Pacey and Joey fans have talked about all these years. Wow. I thought that Josh Jackson did an absolutely incredible acting job in this episode, and I especially loved Pacey’s final scene with Joey when he said, in response to Joey’s earlier assertion that he had never gotten over her: “What you said earlier was right. I never did. How could I? Just look at you.” Then, when Joey reached up and kissed him, it reminded me of a similar scene so long ago between Dawson and Joey in Escape From New York, and I have to say that although I was a little sad to be reminded of that scene, and correspondingly be reminded of the potential that the couple I had loved so much once had, I just was really moved by that scene between Pacey and Joey, because it was so tender and sweet, and it has to rank as one of the most romantic scenes that I’ve ever seen on this show. The chemistry, the banter, and then, finally, the tender sweetness between these two characters was all there in spades, and I admit that I was enthralled with watching them together. I may have been a Dawson and Joey fan in the past, and there’s a part of me that will always remember how special they were to me, but the events of 601 and 602 killed them forever for me, and I can’t and won’t deny that Pacey and Joey have a special spark that I haven’t seen between any two characters on this show for a very long time. At the time, I began to think that it might be Pacey and Joey who'd end up together instead of Dawson and Joey, since their romance was being rekindled so late in the season.

10. Dawson and Joey - Ladders, Movies and Reminiscing (Joey Potter and the Capeside Redemption - What did you first think when you heard Joey and Dawson were getting back into that old season 1 routine of making movies and climbing up the ladder together? At the time, I was just happy to see a glimpse of the close friendship that Dawson and Joey had shared. Here’s what I wrote at the time: I thought it was sweetly reminiscent to watch Dawson and Joey laying side by side in his bed, and it made me recall why I used to love them so much, and it seemed to me that both Dawson and Joey have really grown up, and it was heartwarming to see them communicate as close friends again, and I thought that this scene was the best scene that we’ve seen between them in years. So much has been lost between these once inseparable best friends, but I was glad to see that something remained of the special bond that they once shared. I didn't think they'd end up together romantically at that point anymore though.

11. Joey and Pacey- The Dance Floor Dip Kiss - Well, I knew that Pacey and Joey would end up together, and I was happy about that. Here’s what I wrote about them, and about that “Dance Floor Dip Kiss” at the time: I loved all the scenes between Dawson and Joey and Pacey and Joey, as Dawson told Joey about how guilty he felt about how he’d lost touch with his family and friends, and that he was missing out on everything that was important, and I also loved it when Joey told Pacey that she didn’t want to be “left off the hook” because she loved him. I also enjoyed Pacey and Joey’s “food fight,” and their kiss at Gale’s wedding was full of passion, as Joey was caught off guard by Pacey’s kiss, and old feelings between them resurfaced. I was glad when Joey told Jen that the only decision left was the one that she made for herself, and I thought it was sweet that Jen told Joey that her “dying wish” was that Joey would make her decision and stop running, and it the end, that’s just what she did. I also felt at that point that it was clear that Pacey was the romantic love of Joey's life, and not Dawson.

lol Jerry you rock!

1. Dawson and Joey - The Kiss in Breaking Away- I was so excited when this happened it was a moment I know I never will forget watching it for the very first time. I was so happy and I thought it was going to lead to a season long great romance.

2. Dawson and Joey- The "I dont want to know you" breakup in Parental Discretion Advised- I was sad by this and felt really bad because I know Dawson did what he did to protect her. The look on his face made me feel really bad. But I thought This was not the end of D/J however.

3. Joey and Pacey sailing away in True Love- I was so depressed during the summer after this happened but I was glad Dawson did the right thing in the end. Part of what made me dislike P/J was the way his character was portrayed and the treatment of Andie. I still held out hope though that this was just a big road block for D/J. It made sense both be with other people for a time.

4. Joey and Pacey having sex in A Winters Tale - I wont dance around it the end scene made me puke because I am a big D/J fan and I was yelling at the TV. I just wanted P/J over at this point but I did not know anymore if it was going to end anytime soon.

5. Dawson and Joey's Coda Kiss- I love the episode but I did not truly know what to make of the kiss because I kind of saw it as more of a good-bye thing but in 501 it was made clear it did stir up old romantic feelings. I thought for sure it was going to lead to a D/J thing in season 5.

6. The Pacey and Joey Denial-Gate of season 5 - This was unfair of the writers to do and made no sense to me. I may not have been a P/J season 3 or 4 fan but to act like they never had a relationship was not right.

7. Dawson and Joey - The First Time- Oh God when I first got the spoilers about the fight I honestly thought the person who sent them to me was kidding. It was no joke and I could not believe it. Still though I did get caught up in the romance of it all and I did think James and Katie had chemistry but I was never crazy about the actual sex scene but I still got caught up in it even though during the commercials I had to remind my self it was not lasting.

8. Dawson and Joey "The Song Remains The Same" - The sad thing about this is they showed how happy D/J could be before the fight. It was just awful seeing the fight and for a lot of people this is were D/J were destroyed beyond repair. I was so upset after the ending but being a big fan I still had to hold out hope because I just did not want it to be the end.

9. Joey and Pacey, The Next Generation (Clean & Sober)- This was the first episode ever I like P/J because season 6 for me was so awful and I had not scene any true spark since 602 and I hated Joey/Eddie so to see some real spark and emotion was refreshing. I did not think it was going to last though. I just had a feeling.

10.Dawson and Joey - Ladders, Movies and Reminiscing (Joey Potter and the Capeside Redemption-I loved it so much and wish there was more. Seeing them on the bed just reminded me of the good times and why I feel for this couple in the first place. I was hoping it would lead to a D/J ending.

11. Joey and Pacey- The Dance Floor Dip Kiss- I knew from spoilers what was going to happen so being that I strongly feel and wanted the show to end another way I really have nothing to say about this scene.

Great answers guys, thanks for participating but remember dont just post how you felt about the scene or scenario, post your outlook at the time about the future of the show. Did that particular scene make you feel like there was no more hope for your favorite couple? Did it give you hope for them? Were you afraid another couplew as sneaking up again?

Re: Do You Remember...

1. Dawson and Joey - The Kiss in Breaking Away- This episode at the time, i thought yes Dawson and Joey were the "it " couple during this time, because they were at the time....

2. Dawson and Joey- The "I dont want to know you" breakup in Parental Discretion Advised- I saw this episode as kinda the final point for dawson and joey, because when they broke up the first time it was over something that was trival or what not. Now during this season dawson and joey did the whole will they/wont they thing, that i took this as a sign that things werent going to be the same with dawson and joey.

3. Joey and Pacey sailing away in True Love- At first i didnt like how this triangle just damaged great friendships and i still think that the writers could of found a better way of handing pacey and joey falling in love and dawson's reactions to it. I mean i love the sailing off part, because it lead that pacey and joey were really in love with each other. and dawson had to let go, that was the only part i really enjoyed watching..

4. Joey and Pacey having sex in A Winters Tale - I knew that at this point that Joey and Pacey were the couple that really capture the audience and that there was some connection that they had that dawson and joey had but also lacked in someways too.

5. Dawson and Joey's Coda Kiss- When i first watched this episode, i thought maybe dawson and joey could give it another shot, because of the obstacles they had went through maybe they can start the slate clean, at least that was my impression. But of course that never came true, at this point i felt lead on, because the moment was just right for those two but it didnt excatly work out. When the kiss happened what did you think? , I think that with the whole pacey and joey relationship prior to that, i was a little turn off by it, because it just seemed like the wrong time to really stir back the relationship between dawson and joey.

6. The Pacey and Joey Denial-Gate of season 5 - To me like everyone has said, it felt like they were trying to push dawson and joey back on the frontburned while denying that pacey and joey ever had a relationship. I think at the time they really didnt know what to do with the dawson and joey storyline, and i believe in order to make it believable they had to ignore pacey and joey..

7. Dawson and Joey - The First Time- I didnt really like the idea the fact that the writers chose that time, to have dawson and joey to sleep together, i felt that it was rushed and a little to late, that this was the last attempt to bring in more fans , there really wasnt no bulid up to it at all. !

8. Dawson and Joey "The Song Remains The Same" - [i]I always had other episodes send me clues that dawson and joey werent meant to be anything more than friends, but this one top the cake for me, at this point when i saw how everything went down, i just said u know what they tried over and over again its not mean to be so just leave it alone after this. i]

9. Joey and Pacey, The Next Generation (Clean & Sober)- This episode i felt more sure that Pacey and joey were the better couple, because you can see the love and know for certain that these two and that i start hoping things would have gotten better.

10.Dawson and Joey - Ladders, Movies and Reminiscing (Joey Potter and the Capeside Redemption- What did you first think when you heard Joey and Dawson were getting back into that old season 1 routine of making movies and climbing up the ladder together?

I remember it being just like it was in season 1, two friends sharing old times in the bedroom nothing more, because at this point there is no evidence that states that they were going to get back together. !

11. Joey and Pacey- The Dance Floor Dip Kiss- The first time i heard it i was estactic, i mean here is a chance for these two to rekindle what they had and they kiss at the first part, gave me hope on whats was going to come in the finale especially in the end.

notsomuch 09-30-2004 05:15 PM

1. Dawson and Joey - The Kiss in Breaking Away - I was all for Joey getting what she wanted, so I was happy Dawson finally opened his eyes. And since this was really the only couple to root for, I expected the entire series to be about them.

2. Dawson and Joey- The "I dont want to know you" breakup in Parental Discretion Advised - I was bored of Dawson and Joey by this point, was actually OK with Joey blowing Dawson off. I thought they would have a hard time recovering form this break up, and looking back now, they were really never the same after this.

3. Joey and Pacey sailing away in True Love - I thought having two 16/17 year olds sailing off in the sunset was quite a bold statement, and much bolder than anything positive we had seen with DJ. But then since there was so many DJ anvils sprinkled around, I wasn't sure where the series was headed. But I knew my heart was a fixed point, and figured I probably wasn't alone so from this point on I was hoping PJ would end the series together.

4. Joey and Pacey having sex in A Winters Tale - Since they had pretty much tabled any sex talks between PJ up to this point, I thought having Joey share her first time with Pacey was pretty important. I was hoping at that time, that is TPTB's way of telling us PJ fans, that even though they were going to divert from them for a while, she really loves Pacey best and will come back to him later.

5. Dawson and Joey's Coda Kiss- I agree with Sugz, that also thought it was a nice notion for the DJ fans. And even though I dreaded it might mean that we were in for a DJ lovefest in season 5, I was happy that it didn't.

6. The Pacey and Joey Denial-Gate of season 5 - I always thought they were afraid to showcase them because if they did, they would steal the show again. So since that is what I believed, I knew they would come to their senses again someday.

7. Dawson and Joey - The First Time - I was spoiled too, and knew it was a catylist to kill the romantic side of the DJ relationship. And like I said earlier, I always hoped and believed that the power of PJ would prevail, so this all played into my scenario perfectly.

8. Joey and Pacey, The Next Generation (Clean & Sober)- I was very happy when I heard this news, and when I heard that the next episode was a full hour devoted to only PJ, I was pretty certain that they were going to end up together.

10.Dawson and Joey - Ladders, Movies and Reminiscing (Joey Potter and the Capeside Redemption-What did you first think when you heard Joey and Dawson were getting back into that old season 1 routine of making movies and climbing up the ladder together? I figured they needed to get Dawson and Joey back to being good friends, they hadn't had any "friendship" scenes that weren't tainted with romantic feelings for a long time. Joey's "huh?", gave me comfort that there were no romatic feelings from her for Dawson anymore.

11. Joey and Pacey- The Dance Floor Dip Kiss- The first time you heard about Pacey and Joey kissing in the first part of the finale (without knowing anyhting about anything after that!) or the first time you saw it what was your reaction? Well, since I was spoiled, and I forget if when we heard about the kiss if the prediction was a DJ ending, but I had a feeling they would not have her kissing both boys. The only way to make her choice mean anything, would be for her to be certain about her feelings for both boys. So as soon as I heard what her reaction to the kiss was, I knew she would end up with Pacey.

Of course I really didn't trust TPTB, and even though things turned out as I hoped and expected, I knew they could have gone the other way
