Season 3 is not my favourite (I do like it though) not because of who i ship (I kinda ship everyone ) but because the writing changed too much imo; I think that it improved by the end though

Let's face it... the first half was pretty god-awful.

Dawson/Eve Crazy Andie Joey's college boyfriend Jen as a cheerleader ... Jack on the football team. It honestly didn't make much sense. And the whole thing on Witch Island... and the PSAT's.

Four to Tango was the episode that won me back... or was it Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? Not sure.

Onto S4...

What do you remember from season 4?
I remember being painfully bored with most of it.

Who was your favorite character in season 4?
Ironically, Jen... she no longer was the problem child or the hot mess. With the exception of the excstacy and the ski trip, I thought her character grew into someone likeable.

What made the season stand out to you?
It had it's moments. I would say the beginning was much more eventful and intense... with how Dawson will react to Joey/Pacey and the rivalry. And then... it went in an entirely different direction.

Did season 4 live up to your expectations?
Not at all. After the way S3 ended... I was pumped... and this season honestly dissapointed. I remember being angry that PJo had all this build up and this was what we got of them together.

Did you like it better or less than season 3?
Not one bit.

Who was your favorite character in season 4?

Pacey because he was, is and always will be my favorite character on the show, and jen because she was just all kinds of awesome this season.

What made the season stand out to you?
Just the overall sweetness between pacey and joey.

Did season 4 live up to your expectations?

yes it did. i absolutely adore season 4... up to a certain point.

Did you like it better or less than season 3?

less. S3 was my favorite season.

What do you remember from season 4?
All of it (DVDs).

Who was your favourite character in season 4?
Probably Jen... and Pacey. Also Grams, Joey, Drue, and Jack.

What made the season stand out to you?
So much PJo- , PJo in A Winter's Tale, Andie taking X, Jen going to therapy, Jack having a real boyfriend, Drue being Drue, Grams selling her house for Jen, and PJ angst .

What did you love?
Most of it, except PJ breaking up. But it is a TV show, it had to happen eventually I guess. And Coda =

Did season 4 live up to your expectations?
It did. It surpassed them in some respects. The good out-weighed the few bad things.

Did you like it better or less than season 3?
Just a little bit less! It's my 2nd favorite season.

Ironically, I enjoyed Coda. Great episode and a nice way to end the chapter of High School with a revert back to the past. Yeah, it involved DJ and no PJ, but oh well... Joey ends up with Pacey, so what does it all even matter at this point.

I loved Coda as well; i think it was a nice call back to the pilot and it fitted the end of high school as the end of an era

That's exactly why I didn't like it... it reverted back to the past. I liked the parts of Coda that didn't include DJ being alone, which unfortunately was only a small fraction of the episode. I loved the Jack/Jen/Grams scenes and when they're all playing "Would you rather...?". Just because PJ were end game certainly doesn't mean I'm going to turn around and like all of the DJ scenes that I disliked before!

What do you remember from season 4?
Dawson evolving as a character, Jen finally dealing with her past, PJ giving a shot at their relationship and not working out at last, Drew, Andie's unfortunate depart, Gale's pregnancy... Everything, basically

Who was your favorite character in season 4?
Dawson

What made the season stand out to you?
I guess it was Dawson's growth as a character.
I hated the way he was destroyed in the second half of S3 just for the sake of the PJ romance, so I loved his path in S4. The way he dealt wth PJ, his friendship with Jen&Jack, his relationship with Gratchen, the one with Mr.Brooks (I hearted them together), all the stuff with his parents.. He became a better man.

Did season 4 live up to your expectations?
I didn't have high expectations for this season to be honest, not after S3 where the writing left a lot to be desired, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. So, yeah, in a way it exceeded my expectations. I loved it.

Did you like it better or less than season 3?
Much more.

What do you remember from season 4?
Dawson envolving into a stronger and better man, Jen & Jack's friendship, the fact that Pacey & Joey couldn't have an arguement without dragging Dawson into it which proved why they don't work together, Gale's pregnancy and Andie's departure. A much better season in terms of characterisation and writing.

Who was your favorite character in season 4?
Dawson followed by Gretchen.

What made the season stand out to you?
Think I'd have to say Dawson's transformation into a man. He grew up and the way he handled everything with maturity was great to watch Also Coda That is one of my favourite DC episodes ever. Pure magic.

Did season 4 live up to your expectations?
Like a few others, I thought this season wasn't going to be that good considering I hated PJ and how the writers destroyed Dawson in Season 3. But it turned out better then I expected and I loved almost all the characters this season .

Did you like it better or less than season 3?
Much more.

Their first time together, their relationship, everything with them made it be pure love til the break up of course but oh well they end up together as the true love so i'm ok with it it was gonn happen at a moment or another anyway.

Did season 4 live up to your expectations?

For me, Dawson's creek was never the same (or as good) after season 4.
I loved watching them graduate. Once they moved on to college, it was hard to like any of them.

What do you remember from season 4?
Obviously, the Pacey/Joey romance. It was the centerpiece to that season, in my opinion. Their love was infection and it made me love the show because S4 was one of the first I experienced in its entirity.

I remember Andie leaving the show and the poignant speech she gave that, to me, was not only a reminder of her friends but serves a reminder to all the fans what the show was really about - not who people ship or which couple was "meant to be." It was about love and friendship.

The relationship devoloped between Dawson and Mr. Brooks - especially when he hugged Dawson just previous to his collapse and death.

Drue Valentine. He started out as this obnoxious jerk from Jen's past and turned out to be her emotional equal in the sense that he felt as terminally screwed up and alone as she did.

Who was your favourite character in season 4?
Jen. That was the season that Jen's past life in NY was explained.

What made the season stand out to you?
Actually, I think it was the storylines that revolved around Jen.
Plus, DC dealt with some real life issues that season. Teen pregnancy, drug use, teenage homosexuality. The had done it in the past (Andie and her depression, Pacey and his affair with a teacher, Jack coming out, etc.) but I think the things they took more of a risk in S4.

What did you love?
Pacey and Joey. I think their romance was a great example of a young relationship being imperfect (because, let's face it, they butted heads quite a bit) but not completely destructive. I loved the way that Pacey loved Joey.

I also loved the way that the Jack/Jen friendship evolved that season. I think that the fight they had over Andie and the drugs and the incident on the ski trip and the way they handled both really helped them to grow and become stronger in the end.

Did season 4 live up to your expectations?
It was exactly what I expected it to be.

Did you like it better or less than season 3?
Well, I definately liked S3 better because I think it offered more variety in stories and character interaction. I still really enjoyed S4.
