I think that it would be a nice idea to revisit the show and discuss it again. I'm pretty sure that everyone watched all the episodes numerous times, so the discussion might be interesting.

Let's start with season 1 shall we?

YAY !! Season one has to be my favourite season by far !!
It had this complete aura of magic around it. The dialogue was more real,deep and more thought-provoking than any other season.It didn't feel like a series based on teenage life but something based on teenage emotion.Although I didn't like the dim lighting for the most part.
its also my favourite season for joey (and in my mind probably the only season they let her character really shine through. She was more grown up, sassy, interesting, sweet and adorably vulnerable in this season than all the other seasons put together !
My favourite scenes from season one, atleast those which I can remember off the top off my head are
1.The scene where Dawson kisses joey's fake head and she closes her eyes pretending to kiss him back.
2. dawson and Jen dance to "you don't me" while we see joey had been waiting there and wistfully stares at them. (I had goosebumps for a day !!)
3.Joey asks Dawson what he would do if she died and her expression after he answer is priceless.
4.jen and Dawson's first kiss in the ruins .
5."I'll Be" by Edwin McCain plays as Joey rows to dawson's house to tell him how she feels. (my goosebumps took over at this point and I couldn't help bouncing around the room)
6The last scene.

Well I have only watched season one one time and I thought the season was pretty good.

What do you remember from season 1?
I remember how simple everything was. There was a love triangle, the funny loveable guy, soulmates, family problems and friends. I thought the show was uber realistic, except for the scary smart words, lol. But I thought it portrayed highschool how it really was.

Who was your favourite when you first watched?
Pacey and Jen for sure. I remember thinking how Pacey was just the cutest guy ever and Jen was gorgeous. I also really liked Joey because she reminded me of me. Dawson was also kind of cute. But def. Pacey and Jen.

What made the show stand out back then?
How realistic it was and the pure relationships. Also how beautiful the filming locations were.

What did you love?
I love the episode where PJO went looking for snails and he kissed her. I was so excited and felt the chemistry right off the bat. I loved when Joey sang and Dawson finally realized her. I didnt like how it took him so long to realize that he could love her like that but when he did it was great. How he just grabbed her and kissed her in the finale. I also love when Jen goes into the Chuch with Grams, it gives me chills. I love the Friday the 13th episode, that episode was so great. Basically the last couple episodes were my favorite.

I also love the scene where Dawson tells Joey's Dad exactly what he thinks about Joey, it was so touching and real. It just felt like he was talking about the love of his life right then and there. She means so much to him, it is amazing.

What do you remember from season 1? Just the introduction of the cast. All their backgrounds and beginnings.

Who was your favorite when you first watched? Pacey. Hands down.

What made the show stand out back then? I really think it was the music and the diverse and different looks at these pretty normal teens. Plus, it was a fresh and appealing filmed series, too.

What did you love? I love how it wasn't like 90210, and it wasn't overly ridiculous, too.

What made the show stand out back then? ages of innocents, meaning best friends

What did you love? the friendship that the kids had together, the funny scenes in the show and it wasn't like any other teen tv shows back then

What do you remember from season 1? Everything (I'm like Pacey, haha). I remember that the credits were in yellow and that Pacey loved Joey. I remember how Dawson's room look like the inside of a ship to me in the pilot and then it brightened up a bit and wasn't so closed it. I remember that Mitch was the best looking dad I had ever seen and I wanted him to be my friend's dad (haha). I remember not liking Joey in the beauty pageant because I hated that it took her changing for Dawson to realize that she was pretty. I remember thinking that I could like Dawson and Joey together if Joey was happy. I remember that Bodie was different in the first episode and being so surprised when Joey and Bessie said "orgasmic" (I was a little kid!). I remember thinking Miss Jacobs was pretty but she reminded me of Jen. I also remember being so confused about what the mascot of the school was because sometimes they would be in blue/yellow halls and there would be minutemen and other times they would be in orange/black halls and they would be wildcats. Apparently I need to stop myself because I have too much to say.

Who was your favourite when you first watched? Joeyyyyy (Pacey too but Joey was my number one because I want to be her)

What made the show stand out back then? It was different. It had an actor from the town next to mine. It had my favorite Duck, Joshua Jackson. The cast was beautiful. They had real lives, it wasn't overdramatic all the time. They went to school and work.

What did you love? Everything, for the most part. It would be easier to list some things I didn;t like, but I won't. I loved the episode, Kiss, when Joey pretends top be Deborah Carson because she was doing something fantastic away from Dawson. And I love Double Date because Pacey kisses Joey. I also like Roadtrip because Joey and Jen are friends. Heck, I like all the episodes. I wish I remembered how I felt watching them the first time. By now, I've seen them all so much I just remember always loving them. I wonder if that is the truth.

What do you remember from season 1? Meeting the whole cast and falling in love with their friendship and the weird story lines to my ten year old mind lol

Who was your favourite when you first watched? Pacey forever and ever and evervrrrrr

I just thought he was the cutiest guy alive and so did like half my 5th grade class lol

What made the show stand out back then ? I remember this show being my first teen show lol. I had never seen a teen show with such a big vocabulary lol, and the close friendships were just so great to watch on screen.

What did you love? I think I loved just about everything in season 1, from the whole Pacey/Tamara storyline to Joey loving Dawson and Dawson finally realizing it. Even though I'm a PJer now, I remember back in teh day when I saw the look on Dawson's face when he finally realized he had feelings for Joey made me happy and then the kiss by the window and Mike telling Joey that Dawson loves Joey. But overall I think I loved the friendship of the three and eventually four the most.

What made the show stand out back then? It was just a completely different show, nothing that was seen before.

What did you love? How pure it all was. MITCH. Dear god, yes. Pacey and Tamara. Just 'fing amazing. A lot went on in those 13 episodes. Maybe a little unrealistic with alllll of their convinient problems, but so very interesting.

What do you remember from season 1?
Everything! But mainly because I just re-watched Season 1 like last week!

Otherwise, I don't have that great of a memory. The Dawson/Jen/Joey love triangle, Pacey/Tamara, Gale cheating on Mitch, etc...

Who was your favourite when you first watched?
Pacey and Joey. Pacey because of his character, very likable, and Joey more because I can relate to her.

What made the show stand out back then?
Pacey and Joey.

Not necessarily together, obviously.

What did you love?
Dawson/Pacey friendship, Dawson/Joey friendship, Dawson's family not being perfect, PJ's biology assignment.

I think there were some threesome fights in Season One, but nothing like it was later in the season.

Anyone remember the small rift between Pacey/Joey/Dawson? That was some interesting foreshadowing!

But I did love how the season really showed some future changes that lied in-store for the characters.

What do you remember from season 1?

In six words: the show was at its best.
And I vividly remember the DJ will-they-won't-they thing throughout the whole season. It was written so much better in the beginning.
I remember not liking Jen trying to get Dawson back once she realized he'd fallen for Joey too. Seemed very self-centred and devious of her.

Who was your favourite when you first watched?

Pacey probably. Actually I think Joey was written really well in the first season.

What made the show stand out back then?

Its originality. And the whole DJ friendship with a something-more subtlety to it. The instant chemistry between the core cast members.

What did you love?

The Dawson-Pacey friendship was at an all-time high in the first season. I like looking back and remembering that because the triangle in the later seasons almost destroyed it completely.
