General Discussion question...
I really love the closing sequence of the final episode where they play flashbacks from the whole series. But why do you think the think the third last was the scene where eddie had come back and joey told pacey she didn't 'feel it', followed by a scene of pacey sailing away on his own? I know those were key moments, but couldn't they have finished it off a little happier? Am i missing a hidden meaning?

technically they finished it with the original four on the beach

though i always was irked by that montage
only focused on the triangle...very little jen and jack...they were featured more with dawson and joey respectively
no andie?
i can understand no audrey since williamson only wanted "originals" but come on

I agree, but the main focus was always the original members of the cast, I mean not that I have anything against the others but when it comes down to it that is why I watched the show, the others were a bonus

i dont think i would give andie the same status as jack, but, she was a very important character on the show and she definitely deserved to be in the montage, and if not for her own storyline, then for Pacey's. She is the reason pacey is the way he is. like pacey told her, she was the first one, the first to believe in him and the first to love and accept him. Like i said, for me, season 2 was pacey's season and a big part of that is because of andie and she should have been included in that montage.

they should have focused more on jen and jack too. i know that a huge part of the show was the triangle, but in all honesty, its not the only part. not everyone is either a pjer or a djer. as we see on this board, many people love pacey and andie and dont care about djo. i think the writers of the show didn't recognize that, or at least didn't appreciate that fact.
jack wasnt there on season 1, but that was what? 13 episodes? he's every bit a part of this show as jen, joey, pacey and Dawson IMO.

also, it kind of upset me that when they zoomed into the pic at the end, they cut andie off. it doesn't make sense to me for 2 reasons. 1 is that they went out of their way to cut her out because we all know the original pic and she's there and 2... this pic was on dawson's desk. why would dawson go out of his way to cut her out, lol? it just doesnt make any sense. the finale that was aired on tv not only did not have andie in it, but they also cut out all mention of her as well. why is that? i understand they didnt want to put her in there if she wasn't gonna end up with pacey or whatever, but when they mentioned her at the bar and stuff.. they didnt have to cut that out. it was so weird. we didn't forget her people!!! u can mention her, it's ok!

You make alot of really good points, especially the cut her out the picture part. I mean why would you spend so much time just totake her out, why not include her if that is the picture of choice to use.

For me Andie is a main character; but that's because I liked her a lot

I think with Andie being gone for the last two seasons (and then cut, sadly from the finale), I can see why they didn't really put her on it too much. However, I think the show focused mostly around the original four, and that's what sprung the focus on the montage.

I didn't really think too much of it, until others made mention.

But that is a good point.

maybe it's me being such a Pacey fan, but i just think that he and Andie had such a wonderful relationship and it should have been touched upon in the montage, even if it was just 1 shot of it

wasn't the montage only on the extended version? which actually had andie scenes?
and considering her character was closely tied to pacey's in the second season one would wonder why she wasn't there....because more than anything it's ignoring a part of that character's history
