So got my DVD set today and disc 2 has a scratch. I am scanning the other discs to check. Detention is unwatchable because of the big scratch. I e-mailed Sony and I'll wait and see!

I know the DVD set is not perfect but as someone who never got all the seasons on DVD, I am happy I have the set and will be able to watch the show again.

^ I had like 3 discs with noticeable scratches. Have to contact Sony, too.

Twas inevitable. The way it's packaged did that. Glad they have a replacement program. Let me know how they respond to you, Dominique.

I will... thr packaging is pretty but so not a good package for DVDs!

I will have more time this weekend to check all the DVDs.

While there is a lot of episodes on one disc, the quality is not that bad to be honest. Much better than my VHS. Plus, DC is an old show so of course the quality will never be perfect. I see a big difference in the quality between season 1 and season 2.

The lamest thing about the set for me is the soundtrack. WTH? 5 songs????????? I have all the soundtracks and made my own when the show was on so I don't really care but they could have done better with the soundtrack. Six Feet Under released both full soundtracks with the DVD complete series set. Much better!

5 songs? How lame. It's obvious Sony didn't put much thought into this set.

I hope you guys have no trouble getting replacement DVDs.

I know... I was disappointed with the 5 song CD, too.

I just watched 'The Scare' on Friday the 13th. I found it fitting.

Sony contacted me... they said I have to send back the discs not working "in the original packaging". I couldn't believe it. I wrote them back that 1) I was not going to send a big box just for 2-3 discs with scratches out of more than 20 and pay a fortune and that 2) the packaging is what caused the scratches so I don't want them to send me back new discs in it. I am waiting to hear from them! It is stupid to send the whole box back... stupid.

So I scanned all the discs... the fastforward on my remote was my friend this morning. While a couple of discs have visible scratches, only one disc isn't working and it is not the whole disc but only one episode on the disc (Detention... so very very important episode for me). I will contact Sony and ask them if I can only send the disc and not the whole package. I think it is very important to scan the disc because like I said, it is not because they have scratches that they do not work.
