I thought this was a great season as well. I believed that it was important for Pacey and Dawson to fall apart so they could rebuild as equals as adults. That wasn't going to happen with the scripted roles they had in season 1-3. I also liked that Dawson and Jack became friends, something else that wouldn't have happened with Pacey and Dawson still the best of friends.

Season 3 had to be my favorite season. I loved watching Pacey & Joey's friendship grow.

I liked the fact that we saw their friendship build instead of just hearing about it. Dawson and Joey's friendship was all talked about from their childhood it was harder for me to connect with them.

This is my favorite season because of the relationship that was built between Pacey and Joey. We got to see how it all started, how it grew into a great friendship and see in the finale the beginning of a great romance.

There are so many episodes that were great, but my favorite by far is The Longest Day. Not only was the acting well played, but the music really matched with the scenes. And the angst...I'm all about the angst. One lone tear rolling down Pacey's cheek as Joey walks away. I still cry to this day.

I agree about the Pacey/Dawson friendship. It was sad, but I guess it was inevitable for them to fight. I guess they thought it was a good opportunity for them to fight over Joey...And then to rebuild their friendship later, like cp wrote.

Finally, TLD is one of my favorites as well I liked the whole back and forth with the storylines and how they were tied together in the end.

Season Three had some of the best moments in the whole series for many of the characters.

Yeah, I agree about that I think it was a lot of growing up. Dawson and Joey beeing apart, away from their "safety" with one another was a good thing, imo.
Jack and Jen developing their strong bond. It's probably my favorite storyline, except for Pacey and Joey.
Jack becoming more comfortable with himself and I think Jen was on the same road as him.

The friendship between Jack and Jen...loved it. To finally see someone who could be the best friend that Jen needed, someone she could rely on. Jack and Jen were the true soulmates of the show.

Oh goodness! Eve got on my nerves sooo bad! She had no point whatsoever! Evil little troublemaker!

I love Jen and Jack in S3 too. I love the season finale when she says Here we are: president and vice president of the Bitter Club.

Jack and Jen were the true soulmates of the show. Their relationship was so deep and real. You knew Jen wanted more but she knew Jack wasn't ever going to be there for her and yet it didn't ruin their love for each other.

I don't entirely agree with that. I liked Season Three but for me, it was Dawson's worst season and it was a shame he had to be turned into the villian of the season. It was awful to watch him in 'Show me Love', bitter and twisted. While many of the characters got a new lease of life in this season, imo Dawson went backward and that saddened and annoyed me as he is my favourite character.

I love that scene, Kelly

I actually don't think it was such a bad season for Dawson, though I have to say I didn't really like him after TLD, but I liked him in the first part. I think this was the season for him to 'find' himself and like the others I think he grew a lot too.

Season three for Dawson was when he had to grow up, that is hard to do. He had to see his parents divorce, he and Pacey fell apart and he lost Joey. If I am correct it is also the first time he was beaten as the genius of film, so he had many disappointments to deal with. To be honest I don't know many kids that would have handled all that very well.

He is by no means my favorite character and that was way before PJ. But I did feel for the guy when his world stopped being like a fantasy script.
