I hate how they replaced the music in seasons 2-4 especially because I remember those seasons so well, and it's just not the same watching say Pacey and Andie's dance without Paper Cup playing

I would pay double the price for the DVDs to have them in their original form, but oh well Seasons 5 and 6 never bothered me tbh because I stopping watching the show after season 4 anyway at the time, so I've only ever seen those seasons on DVD. But when you remember the original music used in a scene, and often part of what made them so moving was the song used, it really kills it to have it replaced.

I 100% agree it makes me so mad. Sometimes the music sets the right mood and watching it so much when it was on TV I mesmerized the songs and now they change them. That was a bad choice on whoever decided to do that!

I wonder how come they decided to do that? Because they kept the original music in season 1!

yeah i was pissed off that fun by rose falcon was removed from joey's montage at the beginning of the kids are alright. the song was perfect for an introduction to a season where joey ends it with "bring it on"

i'm pretty sure it was financial roadblocks. wasn't the reason jane arden is on the dvd's because they couldnt afford paula cole? it might've been the same for rose falcon and other artists.

I have watched most of Season 6 now. I have nine eps left, but the only things I liked about it were pacey and audrey, Jack and David, and CJ and Jen.

Since this thread's OP didn't have a banner, I made a new one for it.

Same, I like it too. I especially love Kerr and Michelle's hand-holding.

season six was slightly better than five, but mostly, it was meh. and that ridiculous season finale! lawd! jen dying was the lowest low light of the series. loved seeing eddie/joey though. i adored their relationship when it originally aired and i'm sitting here, pissed, at how the writers ended things between them. i guess joey deserves to end up with a guy who was having an affair with a married woman. ok, then. at least djo got a glorious scene at the end, with their legacy moving to another generation. that's honestly all i care about. their friendship. and after this season not only destroyed everything with ONE NIGHT OF SEX, but then made it seem as if they couldn't get over that hump until months and months later... blech! i'm glad this rewatch is over. felt like torture half of the time. s2s.

Season 6 is one of my favorite seasons. We got to see Joey and Pacey get back together, and Castaways is one of the best episodes in my opinion. I also did enjoy Joey's scenes with Eddie too though. The finale was really well written in my opinion, I was sad that Jen died, but Michelle acted beautifully in those scenes.

i could barely get through the series finale. i mean, i liked jack coming full circle, but that's all she wrote! that and i laughed out loud when faux joey read the theme song lyrics!

Kevin purposly put the lyrics in, he said in the commentary for the finale he had been waiting for years to use that lyric in the series.

I don't know, that is just what he said in the commentary.
