For me, season 4 was the last time I truly enjoyed Dawson's Creek. It was sort of the culmination of lives shared in a small town. We saw these people grow up, make mistakes, fall in love and learn about life. When they all moved on the following season, it was never the same for me.

I have to say that season 4 is my absolute favorite season of DC, because of the P/J breakup. Don't get me wrong I am a p/jer for life, but I loved the angst, the pain, everything they went through in the end.
I loved Promicide, when Pacey let it all out, I loved how they were clinging to a sinking ship in Separation Anxiety. I loved how they still left me with hope in The Graduate. I felt it so deeply when they got together, and I felt it just as deeply when they broke up. The writers did a great job...until season 5 when they gave p/j amnesia...but that is for a different thread. |

I really didn't watch DC much after season 4. I was eager to see them move on to college but I still missed the hometown vibe.

I couldn't believe Pacey went wild in the Promicide
I love the last scene in "The Unusual Suspects" when Pacey said to Dawson that he won't give up on Dawson and their friendship __________________

I thought season 4 was very good. We had Andie's od and then her departure which I thougth was one of the best shows all season. I loved how Pacey, Jack and Dawson came together to get Drue back in Unusual Suspects.
I actually like Promicide as well. I thought it was a brilliant show for Pacey and Joey. They came together with drama they had to end with drama as well. Separation Anxiety was tender and heartbreaking. |

Chester! He was attached to Jack. That was truly a funny show. Really well done. Peskin was just a moron. You had to love Mitch in this episode as well.

You could see Mitch piecing it together and and watching Peskin as he jumped right into the plan of the boys. Loved the ending when Joey caught them in Dawson's room.

Great season.
I love Pacey and Joey and I think that this season actually proved why they were great together. They fought about things that people in real relationships fight about... the future, sex, love, jealousy... not petty fights like "oh no, you didn't like my movie." I also thought season 4 definitely went together with Joey's final speech to Pacey in the series finale. She did run from him... and always to Dawson, her safe place. The guy who she was afraid of losing because he was the guy she tought she was supposed to be with, but not necessarily who she wanted to be with. it was only in the finale that she realized that the man she wants to be with is the guy she's supposed to be with. Season 4 is my third favorite season, after season 3 and then 2 because Pacey is my favorite character and season 2 was a great Pacey season. My favorite scenes in season 4 were the love scene, the one where pacey and joey are walking down the stairs and he refers to her as audrey hepburn, when she tells him my future lies with you... cute and sweet things like that. This was a fantastic season to keep chatting about!
I just love how the gang really started to end some of their season 3 issues, and realize that they are growing and changing and they need to just accept it and move on. It was great to see Dawson accept some things, but at the same time, Pacey revealed a lot of his inner demons, that helped them all grow for their college years. What did all of you think of Season Four? __________________
