I love how pacey got more romantic as the seasons went on. The finale at the airport with audrey was so romantic. :thud:

I really need to rewatch this season (and 6) soon.

the only good parts of this season were Pacey/audrey and dawson/jen  I loved seeing pacey happy and I loved how much fun him and audrey had and what he did at the airport for her was the most romantic gesture he's ever done. :thud: and also in the motel, he made her feel special with a cupcake for their first night and when he spun her around at spring break. I was glad to see Dawson having some fun too. Everyone was so happy then.

I kind of had a little crush on Chef Pacey. I loved that about him and him on the boat SIGH, especially when Joey came to see him for the first time. He just looked amazing in that scene.

I am currently indulging in a rewatchathon of this little gem of a show. The first go-round I was too young to appreciate the show on its own merit, however this time I am removed enough from the drama of those years we call teenage and I am finding myself enjoying it immensely.

With that being said I found myself enjoying Joey's story the most in S5 especially the brief storyline she had with Charlie. Shows featuring teenagers often fail to show the importance that a fun, flirty, and simple relationship can be. That not every relationship needs to end in dying declarations or grand gestures.

Joey & Charlie were never meant to go anywhere & that was half the fun.

A runner up would have been Jack, except they never really explored his character too deeply that season and I find that to be a shame.

Loved Dawson/Jen this season. :)

I was never a big fan of Pacey/Audrey.

I agree with you on both points.

the only good things about season 5 was dawson/jen and pacey/audrey for me. :thud:

I liked how the ladies loved our Pacey. He was pretty popular in S5. Art imitating Life maybe?

maybe. I thought he was really happy with Audrey and he lit up with her. they had really good chemistry.

And yet that was the only relationship I felt lacked all chemistry. I loved Audrey (with the exception of her downward spiral), but I thought her and Pacey were much more enjoyable as fun and flirty friends and it would have been better if their relationship stayed within the Fling category.

I thought they had chemistry. He was really romantic with her and pacey seemed happier than he's been. He fought for her too with the airport.

I always thought it was a shame they ended his relationship with Toby the way that they did, it wasn't fun to watch him drive away Jen and turn into an obnoxious fratboy :(

And I liked Dawson/Jen a lot, I didn't like how the writers ended things for them eiter :look:
