and back on topic, I really don't think Dawson was okay with PJo together in the end, to me it looks like he's escaping into his fantasy world by having Colby and Sam getting married...

ITA. thats exactly how i feel by the end of it. i think it is completely unhealthy of him. it was unhealthy of him to begin with, when he started writing this show, and it continues to be unhealthy by focusing on them in the finale.

How pathetic is the fact he needs to revisit their story on his tv show? i find it funny. Though it was only the season 1 of The Creek so if he is logical he will follow the real story and the end will be a whole different story

ITA about them dealing on a different way; i didnt want to comment that comment as it is the anti DJo and I felt as it was about Pacey for some reasons but ITA they are all affected by her death and Jen asked her to choose, it was her dying wish!! Joey was here all the time for Jen in the finale, they all were, especially Jack and Pacey imo. I believe people have a different way to react at death and having one of your bf dying is prob one of the worst thing ever, especially that young. but anyway its besides the point.

I want to believe Dawson got it at the end and accepted but you never know with him, remeber season 1..."i dont care she is just a friend you can go after her" "oh no wait i take that back". Geez...

I think that Dawson had to re tell his high school story because really him and Joey together was a bit eew. They were like brother and sister, so he has to tell the world ( and himself) that it was OK to kiss her.

If he was going to follow the real story in season 1 then...Colby shouldn't be worried if Petey and Sam are friends, cause in season 1 Dawson didnt really care, except for in DD and only for like a millisecond, so logically...Sam should be talking to Colby about Jen's character. I think Dawson re wrote his history to fit his needs, no matter if it was hurting his friends or not for example writing Jen as the slut of the group, but hey its okay as long as Colby gets Sam (Dawson gets Joey)

I think we've established that there's nothing "unearthly" about Dawson and Joey. Actually, the other pairings on the show come closer to that sort of bond (PJo, Jack & Jen).

Nah... IMO the nervous line can only be interpreted one way: contrived and clearly a bone for DJers. And I don't quite follow that last part... I'm pretty sure EVERYONE was there for Jen in the finale. Dawson was pretty busy realizing how sucky a friend he was to everyone prior to that... forgetting Jen had a daughter, not responding to Joey's attempts to KIT.

ITA with Ali, I think it was terrible to see he actually couldnt remember when Jen had her baby or even didnt answer Joey's emails...but yeah you know they are soulmate...they have the same car but they dont even keep in touch

yeah it's all kind of sick! I mean rewritting the story for what exactly??? It aint gonna change the reality! this is so scary seriously! he was so right saying his past was his present and future, the guy can't even move on after all that happened.

yeah, I won't really describe DJo as soulmates either... maybe they were before their whole dating-breakup-dating-breakup disaster hit, aber after that? to me it's a good example how dating can ruin a friendship, espacially if one of part of the ex-couple can't get over it, even after ten years...

I agree. They really needed to get over it. There could always be a 'what might have been' in the back of Dawson's head sure, but after 10 years I felt that he was still hoping that Joey would run back to him. Sorry you may have had your chance, but they were soulmates in the friend sense, not anything more. I wish that they could have seen it earlier.

I think the fact they dated at the first place ruined it all because they were friends, they shared things back then but after that? nothing at all! They were only able to make ecah other miserable! aAnd they didnt know each others anymore and never really did again after that. which is quite sad when the person is supposed to be your soulmate

I still can't get over the fun of that Dawson's dream in the finale! the writers were basically making fun of the whole DJo story imo. It was hilarious.

it's not only about chemistry imo. They had a lack of that too imo but the worst is the realtionship itself. It is so unhealthy and even them can see it at some points of the show. And the fact they mixed friendship's feelings and love's feelings is quite sad.

As Joey says, he is tie to her childhood and that's it...But their love isnt anything close to love love. It's the kind of love you feel for a friend. I think she undertood that during season 6 and never mixed her feelings after that but just didnt know how to make him understand it too. I think Dawson's dream in season 5 was a preview of what would happen and how she really felt about him. I think Dawson's dream, in general, were meant to make him see the relation with more clarity.
