ITA it's the most deluded fantasy ever. he only chooses to remember the parts of his life which contribute co-operatively with the fantasy and the parts of his past that contradict it conveniently just don't matter. he doesn't recognize the fact that he's completely lying to himself.

Yeah, totally. And, i'm trying to remember if she said this at all...but if anyone of you can: Has Joey ever referred to Dawson as her soulmate? Has she ever proclaimed that they were meant to be together? Right now, i'm drawing a blank on that and the only thing i know of her saying anything close to that is "You and me always" in the freaking finale-but then she's with Pacey, so i don't like to count that.

So I just watched Witch Island and couldn't help but roll my eyes. Good god the writers really tried so hard to beat us over the head about how DJo are starcrossed lovers who were meant to be. Joey was just so beyond desparate in this episode, I don't understand how a 16 year old girl who barely experienced anything with the opposite sex would be so philisopical about a relationship that barely made it past second base. And Dawson oversimplying it as 'if it's meant to be' made me gag. Thank god for Pacey/Jen who saved this dismal episode for me.

The part I did love about ETWI was when Joey realized that Dawson doesn't give a crap about her and what's going on in her life. I swear he only cares about her when she's moving on to other people. He has to have her waiting in the wings for him.

She did make inferences as to them being soulmates though in Witch Island.

It's true. I've never seen such 'soulmates' who failed to connect with each other on every single level. He never gave a crap about her, or what was going on in her life. He only decided he wanted her when he realized he didn't have her as his safety net.

I just watched 3x09 of season 3, which I think might be my favorite muahaha. I love when the dancing instructor pointed out that PJo had a lot of pent up sexual tension. Not because I am a big PJo fan (obviously I am), but because it was something DJo never had and never will have

DJ really did ruin the word soulmates for me. I refuse to allow anyone to apply it to any of my other ships. Because if THAT'S soulmates? No thanks.

I swear DJo are the only main couple of a show that i've watched that it was obvious they so were NOT meant to be together. Usually the main couples of shows i've watched i've loved and they have amazing chemistry. But with DJo, it's like the writers went wrong somewhere and KH and JVB just didn't have much chemistry to add to it and PJo became the main couple, i think for a majority of the watchers.

And that makes me wonder, they had considered JJ for the role of Dawson and if he had gotten, would Dawson and Joey have worked better together because of JJ and KH's chemistry or would they just not have worked as well because Dawson and Joey were written so horribly. And now thinking of JJ as Dawson is..ugh. No.

I think a lot of things went really wrong with Djo, starting with KH and JVB's lack of romantic chemistry. I think if JJ had played Dawson, I would have shipped them because I like chemistry a lot so if JVB had played Pacey, I would have noticed their lack of chemistry and I wouldn't be able to ship them.

Having said that, I might have shipped DJo on the chemistry had JJ and KH been the leads, but I'd admit that the pairing was seriously poorly written and unhealthy, not to mention forced and a regression in the later seasons.

Well i guess it worked out for the better, anyway. Pacey is an awesome character and JJ and KH have a lot of chemistry, so it worked out well.

And i was just over and mugglenet.com-The site for all things Harry Potter and there was this little snippet of Rupert Grint talking about his kiss with Emma Watson:

He admitted that snogging Emma, who plays Hermione Granger in the movie, was a bit weird.
"We were dreading it to be honest, because we've grown up together and it just seemed wrong really," he said.

I just thought-i know Emma and Rupert are real people and DJ are fictional, but when i read that, i immediately thought of DJ. Lol. See, Dawson should take a look at this and know that just because you grew up together, that doesn't automatically mean you're meant to be together.

But at least Rupert and Emma have some chemistry. Lol. Sheesh.
