Reasons we hate the hellmates
1.)They are way too co-dependent.
2.)They hold each other back.
3.)They use each other as security blankets.
4.)They are always 15 and having the same argument over and over and over.
5.)They can never be togther for longer than 2 months without breaking up.
6.)They always have massive arguments but never resolve anything.
7.)They didn't want each other, they just didn't want to lose the other.
8.)He almost killed Pacey to win her love.
9.)Sex the first time was so bad that they almost killed each other and never repeated their mistake.
10.) Their chemistry had no fizzle, like a flat soda.

So I need some anti-DJ comfort here. I have never seen CO-DUH, though I bought the DVD a year ago. I saw the picture on the Episode Selection and thought otherwise. I've heard about what happens and just roll my eyes... BUT

Yesterday I was browing through DC quotes and I found some Coda stuff. So I decided to read the TWoP recap. It made me sick. Ugh. All that Dawson praising? Everything that happened in that episode (especially the dialogue) doesn't make sense!

So please... comfort me about the "life altering moment" crap. I know she said many things would fit in, but she mentioned kissing him and... NONONONO!!!

This is Joey Potter. Her most life altering moment up til that moment? Let's see. Her mom dying, maybe? Her dad going to prison? Her dad being sent back to prison? Seeing him in prison? The moment when Dawson found out about her and Pacey? Choosing Pacey? Sailing away with Pacey? Losing her virginity?

Not to just be an obsessive PJ fan, but kissing Dawson would NOT come above those things -- it's just a fact. We saw most of those happen, and it was a much bigger deal than kissing D.

lol. my friend just finished "the graduate" from season 4 and she called me crying, swearing at me for giving her my DVDs. she also said she 's afraid of watching the next episode because of the picture in the DVDs, lol. i assured her that it's just typical D/Jo... kissing at the first sign of one of them leaving and that they do the same thing again in he season 5 finale, lol.

The praising was the entire episode. Like Joey said he was amazing? And she said her life altering moment was their first kiss.

no whatever. i think she meant it in the context of D/Jo, which i can understand.
but it's a negative thing IMO. ever since that kiss, her friendship with him was never the same again, until the series finale.

she said that the season 1 kiss was the life altering change.
i dont think thats necessarily a bad thing. i also think that she might have either meant it in the context of her and dawson's overall relationship, and also in the context of her growing up process. that kiss was with a guy who became her first boyfriend. someone who was her best friend for most of her life. also, the world that she knew for so many years completely changed in that one kiss. had there not have been a kiss, her falling in love with pacey would not have a been a triangle. there would be no conflict.

but yeah... i can think of more defining moments, like the ones Barb mentioned.
