Nobody expected porn, but the scene could have been more sensual or at least romantic. Even lamer: Dawson and Joey had some realistic, touching scenes before and after The Big Moment. There was plausible tension as Joey addressed her lack of contact with Dawson this summer and recounted a favorite shared memory. Then they touched. After an uncomfortably long embrace, they kissed for a minute or so (not one garment came off) and fell back on the bed as the show went to commercial.
Joey's first time with Pacey during Season 4 was much better. Maybe it's good that this new episode didn't get a lot of hype, because lapsed viewers who might have been lured back would have been disappointed.

Reasons we hate the hellmates
1.)They are way too co-dependent.
2.)They hold each other back.
3.)They use each other as security blankets.
4.)They are always 15 and having the same argument over and over and over.
5.)They can never be togther for longer than 2 months without breaking up.
6.)They always have massive arguments but never resolve anything.
7.)They didn't want each other, they just didn't want to lose the other.
8.)Well he almost killed Pacey to win her love so that's a reason to hate them.
9.)Sex the first time was so bad that they almost killed each other and never repeated their mistake.
10.) Their chemistry had no fizzle, like a flat soda.

Remember too:
- No character bashing outside the context of DJ, the couple
- No actor bashing
- No fics

Lindsey, thanks for starting the new thread. Love that title. I love how people can claim DC was a teen show, but all these critics said so many good things about PJ and not about DJ. hee

Thanks for starting the new thread! I love the title and I totally love the banner. They were never actually happy when they were together. Her face says it all.

Yeah Carolyn her face looks so miserable, i would never want to be with someone who made me have a face like that.

Even in the middle pic she just looks so bored with him. She never looked like that with Pacey. Even in they're rougher moments there was emotion. DJ=nothing!

That's the perfect description! Like Joey said Dawson would have never convinced her to runaway with him on a boat for the summer. Cuz' he's B-O-R-I-N-G.

Joey would of got tired of him after a few hours. They would of ended up going back not talking to each other for a month or so. hee

Haha yeah they would have to go back cuz of Dawsons sailing abilities , remember Show me Love? good lord somebody should have restrained him. thank god Mitch and Jack were there cuz who knows what wouldve happened.

Good point Lindsey. He probably would've ran the boat into something before they even got away from the dock.
